I'm not buying that.
No way in hell they wanted to lose the Supreme Court and Federal benches.
If Bill dies in 2008, she won't make it out of the primary - the moderate Democrats like him, and Leftist base hates her.

Re: Newsweek story on Theresa's "hypochondria"
Theresa, per story, claims she had migraines. In New York, we call them "hangovers".
Also, don't you think the Reagan funeral and its extensive coverage was a major plus for George W?

"Most people in America don't windsurf and don't snowboard. Kerry's problem wasn't about his thoughts or issues as much as it was his inability to connect," said Democratic strategist David Doak. "Democrats get in trouble with candidates from the liberal elite, of noblesse oblige, who talk about, 'Oh gee, I'm going to help the poor people,' " Doak added.
It was his inability to connect - no kidding. Way to many Dukakis moments during the campaign.
"We Democrats have got to find a way to reconnect with rural voters and more conservative voters."

My motto is Veni, Vidi, Vino, Visa: I came, I saw, I sipped wine, I shopped.Sounds like my wife. The thing is she likes to do that in Italy.

You are so right -people who know him personally don't like him. I heard from an insider that when he shows up at the cafeteria at the Capitol, no one wants to sit with him - he is a loner.

Kerry -- the loner
Per a friend of Bill Bradley, Bradley said that Kerry is the "most despised man in the senate", "not to be trusted", "arrogant", and "lazy". But, we knew that anyway!

Kerry realllllly wanted to be our next President.
He also found out that money couldn't buy the Presidency. Nor could the media FORCE us to believe its lies.

"Daschle, desperate to hang onto his seat, even ran a TV ad that showed him hugging Bush after 9/11. Republicans hit back with an ad that showed Daschle ridiculing Bush in terms that a disdainful Manhattan liberal might happily use. South Dakotans love Bush and rejected Daschle."
People aren't as stupid as the Demoncrats think.
"They're the kind of voters who see an extra $1,000 from the Bush tax cuts as real money, not chump change. And who think voting against $87 billion covering body armor and munitions in wartime isn't nuance, it's just wrong."
That was unbelievable - voting AGAINST arming our troops! Of course in response to the worn out class warfare line of opposing tax cuts to the wealthy. Heck I don't consider us to be in the class of "Soros" but we LIKE getting money back that WE EARNED.

^^^^^
Probably couldn't remember who he was, his appearances in the Senate were so rare.
