Very interesting that they don't mention the Russian press, which was wildly enthusiastic about the Bush victory.

(Russian) Papers Say Russia Is Better Off With Bush

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1271214/posts

"Asked who she supported in the election, she said: "The Republicans. They don't give anyone money for nothing and tend to act decisively to defend freedom, and not only at home. Bush rid Afghanistan of the Taliban and Iraq of [Saddam] Hussein and promised to deal with Cuba. And Kerry showed pure demagogy."

In Mr. Bush, the Saudi terrorist has one for the next four years. So do tens of millions of Europeans, the newspaper said.

They can say that they....and this murdering terrorist sneak-attacking scum have the same enemy. Thats says it all right there and they don't even see the meaning of what they wrote.

The conservative Daily Telegraph similarly said U.S. voters "have demonstrated once and for all that no power on earth can intimidate a free nation."

Excellent, and true. Unfortunately, a liberal media can make it like pulling teeth every step of the way.

MEDIA REFORM NOW!!

For most European newspapers, this was not a contest between Mr. Kerry and the sitting president -- it was a referendum on Mr. Bush's muscular foreign policy and conservative social values.

pretty much sums it up for the 59 million americans that were referred to as "dumb" earlier in the article.

My husband with our two sons visited Europe in 2000. We had a wonderful time and spent a boatload of money. In 1994, we spent some weeks in England and enjoyed it immensely. At this point, and with France's and England's attitudes, we will never darken their doors again. Arrogant little asses. They want our money, but they don't want us to be free to choose our leaders to protect us from terrorists. To hell with them forever. However, Italy, Poland, we'll see you again.

The euro-trash had a lot riding on Kerry; they hoped it might make them appear relevent again. I guess they're stuck.

Most of Old Europe will forever be in a twit, because they can't get over the fact that the peasants, serfs and "criminals" (read religious miscreants) they sent off to other places 2-300 years ago........are now cleaning their clocks!

...It urged Europe to come to terms with an America that "is diverging from Europe: It is younger, more self-confident, more prosperous, more devout, more diligent, more democratic and, in short, more conservative."

Gee I thought THE WHOLE WORLD hated us!

Don't worry, the admins pull threads faster than one can imagine. I spent 45 minutes putting together a well constructed argument on another thread... pulled. The logic is beyond me. I saw the World Trade Center Towers fall down. I worked with clients there. The Administrators here pulled my observations regarding FUTURE TERRORISM in this country. Well, I guess in Fresno, everything is just hunky-dory. /rant except I knew three associates who DIED in the Twin Towers. They were part of D&T and KPMG.

Oh well. I guess the tofu tastes better on the West Coast, as opposed to a hundred thousand pounds of jet fuel in New York City three years ago on September 11, 2001, at 9:46 am.

One of our neighbors was on a consulting assignment in and adjacent building, 2 Financial Trade Plaza (not one of the Towers). She saw a body splat on the pavement. Non of most of America has a CLUE of what we endured three years ago. Yet the Admins here pull responses.

"With or without us, America will continue its foreign policy of the past four years," said Hungary's Nepszabadsag. "Europe must close ranks and build a military force in keeping with its economic weight."

That sounds like a threat to me!
Do you really wanna be taking that kinda o' tone with Dubya and me?
