To put a finer point on it, Franco was a Spanish dictator who died in, I think, the 1970's. Every night the MSM reported on his condition as he slowly slipped toward death. Unfortunately it took weeks for him to die, and the news coverage eventually became the subject of a now-famous parody on SNL.
