Thanks for the help.
The fact of the matter is that Jesus said a lot of things that they don't accept anyway, so why would a direct quote about homosexuality make a difference?
Jesus didn't say anything about hackers either.
It says that it is a sin for men to turn away from the natural desires for a woman and turn to men. It says the same for women.

Jesus didn't address Social Security either. What's her point? Don't worry, she will find out what Jesus finds acceptable soon enough.
The story of Sodom and Gomorrah (which was not just a city of homosexuals).
Leviticus and Romans apply---nice try--but no way.
Jesus didn't specify a lot of behaviors. He didn't condemn rape. Should we accept rape as a certain sexual orientation?
Jesus spoke about the "law' a lot. To bad Pat was never told that in church!
Did Jesus demand an end to the death penalty or slavery?
Jesus said nothing about drunk-drivers, ear-slicing torturers, child molesters, wife-beaters, necrophiliacs or animal sadists. There are strong, clear principles in the Bible, but if we're going to say that if a specific act isn't there, it means it's okay, we're in for a lot of trouble.
Perhaps the title should read: "Biblical Scholar and Theologian Rev. Patricia Ireland says: 'Jesus didn't say anything about lesbians'." Uh, hey kid, STFU. Moron. Dismissed out of hand. (although, again, refreshing to hear them scream).
Jesus never said anything about mass murders or child molesters either.
With respect..we don't want to argue with Ireland, and her ilk..we just want to let her keep talking..we should BUY her airtime...The are nuts, in denial..and we don't ant to disabuse them of the idea that they think they're correct..
God had already settled that issue when he blew their a$$e$ up in Sodom and Gomorrah.
Jesus did specifically say that he dod not come to over-rule prior scripture -- two major sections called the Law and the Propehts -- but rather to fulfill it. He brought forward the new testament/covenant (contract) between Goad and man whereby a physical sacrifice was no longer needed for atonement of sins. The new covenant established JEsus as the final and perfect sacrifice - He died to atone for our sins, and was ressurrected to show victory over death thru God. Now there is only one path to God - via Jesus, no longer the Temple, the high priest and atonement.
Therefore --- prior God-inspired LAW about homosexuality and morality still applies. Also Paul wrote volumes about immorality, particularly to the church in Corinth -- a congreagation struggling to leave behind the sexual immorality of contemporary Greek culture.
Jesus did not speak direclty about a lot of sin, but it remains sin nonetheless. It's a tough read, but guided by the Holy Spirit you can come to understand what PAul wrote to the Romans about knowledge of sin and righteousness.
Hope this helps.
Hey Patricia, I know there's been a lot of talk lately about the need for the left to make inroads with the religious sector in this country, but you're way off the reservation here. Back up the car and take another pass at it, dear. Better yet, just pull over and sleep it off.
