Isn't it time we faced the fact that Specter is just not one of us?
Why the hell is he in the GOP? He'd be much more comfortable across the aisle.
I was door-knocking for GOTV with a guy who used to live in Philadelphia. He said that Spectre became a Republican out of convenience because he wanted to run for office and the Democrats already had a candidate they supported.
He's followed his career, and saysSpectre never has qualified as a Republican in anything but the label. He was voting for Clymer (conservative running on the Constitutional ticket).
"Why the hell is he in the GOP?"
Probably needs the "R" beside his name to get elected in his area.
Unfortunately people don't vote for the man, they vote for the R or D.
