Yup. Buckhead and his famous Post #46.

The CBS memo flap was a huge watershed for the W campaign -- it made ALL subsequent "October Surprise" stories immediately suspect. As a result, the Kerry campaign was left without any aces in the hole.

What's next? Are you going to ask if we are going to reach out to Democrats? The answer is: Yes! True vermin should not only be despised but also exterminated.

By merely having a clearing house for real unbiased news & information helped me convince no less than a dozen people to vote for President Bush.

Jim, thanks for the forum!

By providing an essential marketplace for conservative ideas and zipping open the cyberspace of conservative networks. It's a bigger tent than I thought and I am so grateful.

I first learned of this site while browsing on Shootingsportsman.com

Keep up the good work!

Are you joking? Every week FR catches and publicizes some MSM lie. For example, the supposed booing of Clinton when Bush announced his heart attack at a rally.

Does the President read Free Republic?

I highly doubt it but I think some on his staff are aware of it... I'm positive Rove knows of FR

Based on information found on FR we wrote letters to the editor.

My doctor did not know some of the information that I had in my letters, especially stuff about the 9/11 Commission and the Senate Intelligence Reports links between AQ/Iraq.

The MSM had convinced people that there was no connection between AQ/Iraq at all and that's wrong, of course.

It changed my doctor's mind.

Another freeper here in town wrote excellent letters about Kerry and his shameful behavior when he returned from Vietnam; a lot of people didn't remember or know that.

A lot of us also worked at Republican headquarters in our towns and were able to tell callers and visitors about FR and other web sites where THEY can get information that goes around the MSM.

I like to think that I contributed in some small way. On October 24, 2004, I stood alongside US 220 outside the Martinsville Speedway on race morning with Bush-Cheney sign in hand as thousands of race fans walked/drove by. In addition, I handed out 300+ Bush-Cheney bumper stickers to the fans (many of whom were from the swing states of Ohio and Florida). I got the inspiration for doing this pro-Bush demonstration from Free Republic. This website rocks!

I talked to friends, co-workers and relatives.

I converted my brother, two co-workers and a dance buddy.
Oh, yeah, and I voted too!

Well, about a year ago I would have voted libertarian because I didn't/don't like some things about Bush. Then I started coming here, some of my (mis)perceptions were changed. Also in my education here I strated to truly understand the importance of not casting a 'protest' vote and voted for W.

So thats 1 more vote in CO if anyone is keeping score.

FreeRepublic and the internet and talk radio have given the common people a voice. No longer must we sit and take whatever the liberals and the MSM shoves on us. Now we shove back!

Some real smart people on FR really drove the memogate thing. That put the media on trial for about 2 weeks.

There was also the SwiftVet thing: I believe (I'm not sure) some of their coordinating took place on FR, didn't it?

I extensively used great articles found here to mail to a huge email base that I developed. I imagine most others did the same. In that regard, FR was part of the "alternative media."
