Let me see if I understand this.
65% of Jews support Democrats.
The Demcorat choice for President was John Kerry.
John Kerry was endorsed by every Jew hating nation on earth.
John Kerry wanted to negotiate with terrorists.
John Kerry wanted to fight a more sensitive war on terror.
Terrorists want to kill all Jews.
????????????????????
What am I missing in the Jewish support for the Democrats?
It should be pretty obvious from the Florida vote that more Jews supported Bush. Here is why:
1)Bush pulled in more votes than Martinez. What this means to me is that the Jewish demorats voted for Bush and then went back to the norm and voted for Castor.
Remeber two factors. First 50% of the people polled were unaffiliated JINO's with no connection to Judaism. They vote overwhelmingly liberal. If you knock those jews out of the equasion then of the remaining 50% of Jews Polled 55%-65% voted republican. Its a start..
We're going to slowly continue to do better and better as the years go by, it's pretty much certainty. The retiree crowd that still worships the memory of the Roosevelts and hasn't moved forward in their thinking in 60 years is dying, and the younger Jewish population is much more in touch with today's reality.
"In the three states with the largest Jewish populations -- New York, California, and Florida -- American Jews supported Democrats by even wider margins. CNN reports that in Florida, Jews voted for Kerry by an 80-20 margin; in New York, the margin was 80-18; and in California, the margin was 79-19."

The bottom line? George Bush owes the Jewish community bupkis.
Jews over the age of 65 suported Kerry 90%+. That shows how much more the younger generation is increasingly voting republican.
These are some of the BEST Republicans
"The bottom line? George Bush owes the Jewish community bupkis."
No one said that Bush owes the Jews anything. I've found that the man has never been motivated by what "will get him more votes". He has always done what he thinks is right. If anything, we jews owe Bus a debt of gratitude. I for one am doing my part to spread the word. It takes some time but we'll come around.
Just about everything in the posted article ...
MSM Lies!
If khillary will be Demon's candidate in '08, then be sure that 85% of Jews will be (Republican) Freepers!
Apparently my point was too esoteric.
I was trying to figure out why ANY Jew would be Democratic.
It just strikes me as suicidal.
IMHO
It's a long story. One piece of the puzzle is that a lot of older Jews still imagine that the Republican party is full of anti-Semitism of the kind that existed circa 1930 when places like Harvard had quotas for Jews.
This is totally insane, of course. Of the two parties, there is IMHO a lot more anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiment among the Democrats.
Can't tell you how great it feels to be a Jew who voted for W.
I agree. I don't always get it myself. There are many underlying reasons why Jews are liberals. Often they are more loyal to their liberalism then their judaism. Unfortunately I think it is a result of 2000 years of religious persecution.
FWIW-
Oh really? I guess you missed this petition on FR prior to the election?
"Dear President Bush,
We, the citizens of the United States of America, demand that the US Government fully recognize the legality of the Israeli communities situated in the West Bank and Gaza."
Blah, blah blah.
"If these conditions are not met by November 1st, 2004, we the undersigned will vote against you in the up-coming election."
Missed that one, huh?
And the history of religious persecution causes them to imagine that they have something in common with the heavily Democrat minorities in this country. But whatever the history, Jews presently have virtually nothing in common with these groups, who in fact harbor the most anti-Semitic attitudes of all groups surveyed.
That is just one of many reasons why Jews should be getting out of the Whiner Party.
A large part of this is due to President Kennedy's avowed support for Civil Rights and his untimely death, and the supressed fact that most Southern racists were Democrats (remeber that Gore, the senior opposed the Civil Rights Act). Only now is the younger generation of Jews able to perceive which political party truly has their best interests at heart.
