I don't think they swayed many people who didn't already have an irrational hatred for Bush.
45% of the voters would have pulled the lever with a "D" next to it even if they were running a rutabega for president (oh wait, that would have been Algore in 2000).
I think we could have gotten a good part of the remaining 3%, I mean we're in the middle of a war (with a decent economy) for cryin' out loud.
I'm sorry, but I'm with Coulter on this one.

Looking at historical numbers (ignore Perot '92), the GOP seems to have an absolute floor of about 40%, the 'rats have about 43%. The battle is over the remaining 17% (minus those who vote for third party losers candidates) -- GWB won that battle 11-5-1.
