Attorney General John Ashcroft 'plans to submit his resignation to Bush in the next several days'...
Rudy may want to run in '06, so he stays independent of current WH....or maybe not.
I'd like to see this, if for no other reason but to see the Left go apoplectic. That said, Ashcroft would make a great SCOTUS justice. We need constructionist judiciary. The left will fight to the death, of course. If we're lucky, they would continue to demonstrate their true values to the US citizenry, which will continue to recoil in horror. LOL!
He has no "baggage"
Jim Rogan served admirably as a congressman and did his duty for his country.
He was a successful prosecutor, respected judge, California Assembly Majority leader and member of the House of Representatives. Bill Clinton is the one with the baggage. Jim Rogan is a national hero and would make an exemplary Attorney General.
Gee...did Drudge check his "Exit Polls" to figure out this?
He's such a leftover from the last century's internet....
NeverGore :^)
Why would you want an abortion loving, gun-grabbing RINO? Jeesh.
I am celebratin', but I don't drink or smoke. So why did I think I just heard Michael Issokoff , on Fox's Greta just say that Rummy's job is Powell's for the asking. And Michael Wiesskopf thinks Ashcroft is gonna resign. I was playing my stereo real loud listening to 70's Vietman Era Music before, CCR, Chambers Brothers maybe I'm having some kinda flashback. Liberals are amazing. Greta should stick to Dog Catcher stories.
I hope not. He doesn't think firearms are for the little people.
And I hope our great pres. doesn't reinact it. : ) <<< me
Not conervative enough? Try not conservative at all, and barely Republican at that. Have you been following the news? Do you know the garbage that Arnold has forced down the throats of Californians in recent months?
The state is flat on its back broke and he's advocating a $3 billion bond that will cost $6 billion for a state that is already swimming in bond debt, and the creation of a new bureaucracy unaccountable to the legislature and exempt from public records acts.
Think of the reasons that you are a Republican and I can give you a slew of examples of how Arnold's actions fly in the face of your beliefs.
Yeah, yeah, I was joking about that Sec of State stuff by saying I just want to see Guillianni dance a waltz with Kim Jong Ill a la Madelaine Albright--then blow the sucker away. However, according to more than a few FReepers, Guilliani is a gun grabber and is pro-abortion. Could be a big problem. :(
I'm still glad he went to bat for Bush.
people get caught up in the cult of personality and start fawning over rudy, thinking he can do wrong. The problem is many of his views are in opposition to what the republican party stands for.
I'm not a Republican. I am a former Democrat (thanks to Drudge and Jim Robinson) turned Independent. I voted for George Bush and Schwarzenegger. I'm an old timer on this forum and anything you say or try to do to flame me for my positions will fall flat.
I am for the 2nd Ammendment and am against abortion. However, I am not a 1 or 2 issue voter. I appreciate Guilliani and Scwarzenegger for their support of President Bush.
no, Rogan is done.
Any chance for Richard Armitage to get a promotion for any cabinet seat?
two very good examples of poetic justice if you ask me
Maybe Bush is going to nominate Kerry for it.
He was Mass. AG wasn't he?
Heard that too and thought that was the biggest crock I have heard since I last watched CBS NEWS.
Didn't he have gallstones and some sort of infection a few months back? That's what I seem to recall.
I seem to recall it was his pancreas.
