Spector must be prevented from becoming the next Senate Judiciary Chairman.

We won the election by a massive turnout of the Republican base. We must not let a RINO thwart our victory.

Spector helped to cover up the truth about the Oklahoma City bombing. He should be rejected for treason.

I just sent my email to Sen Frist urging him to make certain that Specter doesn't become Chair of the Judiciary!

The audacity of that jerk to give *MY* President an ultimatum! *I* didn't vote for Specter, (I live in another state) and while I respect the fine folks of PA being able to choose their Senator, I don't believe that means that he should be able to tell our Pres what to do! Pres Bush can nominate anyone he d4mn well pleases!

my e-mail

Dear Senator Frist,
With alarming speed, Arlen Spector has signaled he will not, as chairman of the Senate Judiciary
Committee, support the nomination of conservative pro-life judges.

Sir, many of people who voted to re-elect President Bush, did so because of near certain possibility of
appointing at least two supreme court justices. If the republican party does not give heed to the primary
concern of these votes we will walk away from the party. This is not a threat, but a certain inevitability, as
we see that the republicans will not deliver, when it is most easy to deliver, on our most pressing concerns.

Arlen does not have to be chairman, and we do not have to have him in the party to maintain a majority.
Please be bold. REMOVE Spector. Please.

Thank you for your time,

Not only do we need to stop Spector from becoming Chairman of the Judiciary, we need to bounce this guy out of office. Almost happened last time.

Arlen Specter seems to overlook the fact the GOP is conservative AND pro-life and expects the President to nominate judges who reflect their values.

Folks we have got to STOP SPECTER from becoming the Judiciary Committee chairman. Otherwise we are sunk to ever get Supreme Court justices who will uphold the Constitution as written.

Here's what we all need to do

1) Everyone write your Republican senators - tell them to buck seniority and elect Jon Kyl (Arizona conservative) as the chairman. Remind them that people voting on "moral issues" delivered this election to the GOP!
2) Get the word out all over the blogosphere!

Here's a link to a good NRO article by Tim Carney - more proof that it's stupid for Republicans to support "moderates" under the guise that they're more electable...

Time for Specter to be reassigned to the "Senate Select Committee on Excess Bovine Flatulence".

Make a new requirement that members of the Judiciary Committee can not have ever been involved in phony commissions chaired by Earl Warren. And pass a rule against ugly noses too.

Specter better shut his big fat mouth. There's nothing that says he has to have that position. The Senate Majority leader could decide someone else would be better in the Chair of the Judiciary Committee. The President needs to call old Arlen and teach him how cows eat cabbage!

With comments like this, I almost wish he had lost...maybe contacting Senator McConnell is an order and asking he not be seated as the committee chair.

"A self-proclaimed moderate, he helped kill President Reagan's nomination of Robert Bork to the Supreme Court and of Jeff Sessions to a federal judgeship.

A former district attorney, Specter also bemoaned what he called the lack of any current justices comparable to legal heavyweights like Oliver Wendell Holmes, Louis Brandeis, Benjamin Cardozo and Thurgood Marshall, "who were giants of the Supreme Court."

'With all due respect to the (current) U.S. Supreme Court, we don't have one,' he said."

Need anything else be said? We need this guy in our cross-hairs vis a vis this chairmanship.

Can't we even have 24 hours without being told we're right-wing Christian reactionaries?

Bush has his mandate -- Judeo-Christian "moral issues."

This election was historic. And the President, Senate, House, Governors and Supreme Court will hopefully pay close attention to the will of the people.

The conservative, right-wing, Christian people.

Bush should keep on nominating whomever he wants. The stonewalling by the Dim minority through the use of the filibuster suggests that it's time for recall campaigns against the bastards who have blocked many judicial appointments these past three+ years. All we need are the signatures to force the issue, and viable candidates to replace the bastards.

I voted a straight R ticket, but I was very fastidious about it, and took special care to avoid the lever by that man's name. And he's going to dictate terms to George W. Bush?

I think Spector doesn't understand who won the mandate--and why.
