The difference is under Carter, terrorism was pretty much confined to attacks against Israel.

The Muslim population of the United States was 10% of what it is now.

The homocide bombing is a totally new technique and now there are international associations of terrorism with state support.

No it wouldn't' t have. A leader that stands for nothing is a lot more dangerous than a leader that is a hypocrite. I personally believe that President Bush's first term was came about because of Divine intervention, as well as this next term. We won against all odds, what with the biased media, slander, lies and Hollywood.

Survived.......Yes.

Survived intact without irreversible damages and a chance that the future is in dire jeopardy......................NO.

The US did not survive Carter and Clinton. We are still cleaning up their messes. Giving up the Panama Canal will come back to haunt us in years to come, for one.

The thought of Kerry appointing Hillary Clinton to the Supreme Court is enough to scare the hell out of me.

The US survived Carter: it would have survived Kerry.

I'm not completely sure we did. Not fully intact, anyway.

I respectfully disagree. During the Carter "Administration", at least we had the USSR sitting squarely on the Islamic hordes. Now, without a viable counter-weight, I do not think we would survive the four or eight years of socialistic hell.
