I have nothing to add... except that it would be a huge victory if even 40% of your list actually got done. I like the chances that it will.
Re-schedule marijuana so it can be prescribed like morphine, etc. This is a conservative issue, too. Notice the red states that have approved med-pot by 60 percent margins. Please, W... don't ask me to arrest cancer patients.
On to Fallujah!
Cut domestic spending. Cut domestic spending. Cut domestic spending. Repeal the New Deal programs of SS and Medicaid.
How about a return to the 1934 firearms law.
Fallujah = Rubble
You forgot one thing, namely, allowing Christianity to thrive again, but the rest is right on.
I agree with eveyrthing except 6 and 8. I am ambiguous about 11. (not quite sure what you mean by 11 - I do agree more nuclear plants should be built)
13. Abolish the Federal Education Administration and send the Federal education money directly to the School Districts without strings EXCEPT that an equal dollar amount SHALL be granted to students in the form of a voucher so that they may attend a private school if they wish (make public schools compete for students).
this should be an all-day thread...
I agree ,but would add a plan.
"I have a plan":
Spaced based weapons systems.Drill for our
own friggin' oil with a .10 cent gas tax to go strictly for research on how to become energy independent from the mid-east.
Make Puerto Rico the 51st state and responsible for their
own successes and failures.
13. abolish capital gains tax
14. abolish death tax
15. carve ronald reagan on mount rushmore
16. constitution ban on all tariffs (a la confederate government)
You also forgot drilling ANWAR. My dream is that one day every igloo will have an oil derek.
I am all for oil dereks as far as they eye can see.
Bush won with a 3.5% margin in the overall popular vote. The GOP has 55% of the Senate (not enough to overcome a cloture vote) and 53% of the House. Majorities all, but hardly a "strong popular mandate. I suggest that you pick your battles here or you may end up like Clinton when he started out.
I forgot a couple:
A Constitutional Amendment to require definitive proof of citizenship and ID for voter registration and voting.
A Constitutional Amendment to prohibit "anchor baby" citizenship. Only babies of US citizens shall be granted automatic citizenship. Babies of legal foreign nationals may be considered -- as any other legal immigrant -- for "green card" residency if applied for by the child's parents. A baby born of illegal parents shall be deported along with the child's parent(s).
(Actually I believe its hope in one hand whatever)
I aint expecting much, seriously. Hes shown you what he is and how he works and it isnt impressive at all to me.
I had practically sworn a blood-oath not to vote for the nut except for a single interview I heard several weeks ago.
It was with that Richard Miniter guy and was about his book Shadow War: How Bush is Winning the War on Terror or something like that.
He had spent about a year traveling around the world interviewing people involved with tracking down terrorists. Hed been in Iraq, Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, the Philippines, Indonesia all over the place. He claimed there was a LOT of behind-the-scenes stuff going on and that GWB and countries working with him (that youre not even hearing about) are taking names and killing and imprisoning them in large numbers.
I still havent read the book but the author presented a compelling-enough case for me to very (VERY!) reluctantly vote for him (again, like a dope I'm afraid). It sounded like he knew what he was talking about. And, being in CA it isnt going to matter much anyway.
I liked a quote attributed to Melanie Morgan at KSFO this morning. It was something along the lines of now that weve reelected George Bush we can get back to normal griping about the crappy job hes doing.
That pretty much sums it up for me.
