My history books said the south lost the Civil War, but apparently that was just a battle. The south lost the battle of 1861-1865, but now are winning the war.

On the contrary if you look back at Presidential elections for the past 140 years you will find the south going for the GOP is very recent when compared to the Great Plains and Rocky Mountain states. Glad you have finally seen the error of your ways. Better late than never.

19 of those states were NOT part of the Confederacy. The President, a Texan, we just elected does NOT support the idea of autonomous southern republic; called the Dred Scott decision an example of bad law by judicial activists; and unlike the radical John C. Calhoun, George W. Bush is a real conservative.
