They locked us out so we can't link to their forum threads..
Actually this one was the beauty. These idiots actually think Jon Stewart and his show is real journalism. And they wonder why they lost.
Dear DU,
YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED! RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!

so I guess by his statement of working his ass off this clown can't do anything but stand around and complain, because not dissimilar to Japan the loss of "ass is a terrible thing".

Screw the lower middle-class
I'm gonna say something decidedly un-Democratic. You can only help people who want to be helped. When the poor and debt-burdened lower middle-class in this country have their brains infected with so much feel-good religion that they stubbornly vote against their own interests...f*ck em.
I'm pretty well off, and a lot of people on DU are very educated and well off. Yet we spend our days trying to convince the poor to help themselves. But they don't listen...they listen to their Church. Let the Church explain why their lives are getting worse and worse.
Its time for us to start focusing on ourselves, on our friends, and on like-minded people. Its time for us to start contributing to a better world in different ways. Preaching to the intellectually tone-deaf is sucking up our energies and destroying us.
I really think that David is embarrassed at how his members are taking this. He knows how we are laughing at them, gloating and such. Four years, working toward one single solitary goal. Having one thing dominate your every waking thought. Hanging on every breath. Defeat Bush! Deal Bush a crushing, humiliating defeat. Focus on that one thing for four years. Your life, your happiness depends on seeing Bush give a concession speech. THEN THINGS DON'T BREAK YOU WAY! Your champion is defeated and in an embarassing fashion at that.
What the hell do you do now?

35. A huge swath of the damned working people don't WANT our help
That is the point. These people are brainwashed into this religio-political cult that has emerged in this country. We keep losing more and more political ground because these people don't CARE what we say. They do what the TV and Preacher Bob and Boogyman Cheney says, and they go to their precious wal-mart and drive their SUVs and are convinced that it is God's will that they are the way they are. I have pity for people that cannot put food on the table. I am sickened that people cannot afford medicine and medical care. These people would rather "protect the sanctity of marriage" from us faggots than eat and be warm in the winter. That is pretty damned sad. But you can't shove food down their throats and force them to wear the band-aids national healthcare could provides. You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink. And these people are not thirsty for our water. They want to make their beds, let them lie in them. God what a string of trite metaphors.
Duh!
Lurking Freepers: When YOUR Kid Gets Drafted...Don't Cry To Me!!
I will have no sympathy for you. You voted for the son of a bush...so don't expect any sympathy from me, when YOUR kid gets drafted, if you voted for Bush...I will have no sympathy for you...because you could have prevented it, and didn't.
You were too worried about Gays, Guns, Abortion, and God, to worry about the safety of your own family so now you deal with it!
Hard? Yes. But too bad.
Truth be told, (At least for me anyways...) Yes Mermaid, God before family and all else. That's how I live my life, and if you and your DUmmie Friends can't understand that some people believe and think differently than you. Tough! Deal With It! :)
These people just don't get it. I am pretty well off right now. I bought a gas station last year, bought a detail shop and a quick lube this year. Three years ago I was paroled after 74 months in prison and had only $50, two t-shirts and a pair of jeans to my name.
I was homeless and slept on a cot in one of the bays at the gas staion where I worked.
I was very content when I was homeless, just as content as I am now that I am doing well. My happiness does not come from the government giving me things. It does not come from seeing someone who has more than me, have less. I am not the only one who does not feel this way.
The people on DU, do not realize this.
I think I held back earlier, but now, you know what seems like a wacked out forum is? www.nonviolence.org ; maybe I shouldn't mention it, the forums seem to have way out kinds of trilateral commission, international banker conspiracy theories types of things, illuminati and that stuff. You'd think, at first glance, this is some leftist site, well, maybe in a radical way of Berkely 1969 it is; if anyone goes over there, you might be polite and such. I think some Freepers have gone there in the past. The name of the forum does not do it justice to me. They may link to a Ramsey Clarke site but I'm not sure if they are like him either.
How about this?
"This is a pretty diverse group of people, and it's clear that people are going to deal with this election defeat in different ways. Some members are going to come to DU looking for a shoulder to cry on. Others are going to come here looking for a fight. Still others may have completely different feelings entirely. We believe that it is understandible and healthy for people to feel angry or sad or whatever. We do not think it is possible for us to force people to deny their feelings right now, and we're not even going to try (except in the most extreme cases). However, it is clear that certain types of emotions do no mix well on a busy message board like this one. We have decided that the only feasible solution is to enforce a segregation between the people who want a shoulder to cry on, and the people who want an ass to kick.
With this in mind, the two General Discussion forums have been re-named. The "General Discussion: Help and Support" forum is for those people who are looking for help and support. If you feel sad, or if you are the type of person who thinks that we're all in this together, then that is the forum for you. But if you are feeling very angry about the election, or if you are feeling like pointing fingers and placing blame, you should post in the other GD forum, the "General Discussion: Fighting and Acrimony" forum."
You better hope she doesn't read FR or you could be in for a long cold winter!!
;-)
There are numerous threads against Christians and religion in general. They are not nice people over there. I can't believe the vile anger spewing from these people. The anti God/Religion/Christians threads over there are being locked, even in their "closed forum". Wow!
I've got a few pics of them that someone sent me, and believe me--the mods are a bunch of young adults who look like they are barely out of their teens. They probably do not have children, own homes, pay taxes or have many responsiblities. I would not be surprised to learn that their weeks are filled with asking "Do you want fries with that?".
Their guys didn't lose because Christians beat them down with morality clubs. They lost because voters understand that Dems are NOT better at handling the economy, world affairs, security issues, domestic issues, or anything else that requires intellect.
Good grief. Someone ring for the wetnurse.
