I Want to Apologize to all Fellow Freepers
nov 2, 2004 | beebuster2000

I want to apologize. Yesterday, as the exit polls broke, I began to panic. Was packing my survival gear and looking at the topo map. Unfortunately, some of my posts reflected this state of near melt down. Pres Kerry? The universe couldn't be that cruel.

Should have had faith. I apologize for that.

But I sure feel great now !!!!

...coming from a dummy state (welfare state) NJ, I 've learned to wait. I normally wait until early evening
to look in on results. Exit polls are conducted to give the MSM something to talk about all day. So one has to ask what questions are asked, and who's asking them? I was not polled, although I walked right passed someone standing with a clip board who stopped an elderly lady behind me. Guess I didn't pass the profile....*shucks*

"What is really sad is that so many of our fellow citizens would vote for Lurch."

It also proves that common sense is not common.

It makes me wonder about some of my neighbors, here in Commiefornia.

As far as I am concerned, there is no need for apology. I, too, was frantic to the point of actually being sick to my stomach. I counldn't even begin to imagine a president kerry. I spent a lot of time in prayer and resigned that God is in control, whomever wins.

I am very much at peace this morning... not only by the win but by the fact that the MSM is beginning to see that morality is winning! We Christians... all of us... want to take back our country! I think this is the clearest message of this election and we have elected the man we feel can lead us in that direction. God's will be done for America and God bless America.

I hope that you didn't spend the afternoon in the shower.

Exit polls are BS. A lot of us will only vote on the day of the election and many not 'til we get off work. I didn't vote until 1800 CST. Many were coming out and many more coming in during this time.

I couldn't watch the TV election news. I went to a strip joint, had a couple beers, and tried not to look at the TV sets at this place. I accidentally saw the Red/Blue state map on one TV set around 10 PM mountain time and I could see Ohio and Florida had gone for Bush. But I misread the map and thought Pennsylvania had also gone for Bush. I felt a lot better but still couldn't watch the news coverage--didn't want to know any details until it was all over. Finally I went home and turned on the TV at 1 AM mountain time to find this Ohio "controversy" unfolding and the networks refusing to call Nevada for Bush with 100% of vote counted. Then fired off an email to NBC about Nevada, got the details on Ohio and went to bed. I can't watch live coverage of something that matters so much as it's unfolding when I can't control it. Now Kerry is sticking it to American AGAIN! He's making us all wait until King John feels like conceding. Hey you lost, you f###ing dirtbag Kerry.

I was on edge too, but the math didn't add up. Bush was doing so much better this election with Blacks, women, the young, I couldn't figure out who they were polling.

You stand forgiven ;)

Hey beebuster, I can't find this anywhere, but didn't W do MUCH better in California yesterday than four years ago? Like I said, I can't find a comparison. (BTW, I had one or two doubts myself) ;)

The exit polls were looking so bad the FOX NEWS Team was panicking for awhile too. This is not something you need to apoplogize for. It happens to the best of us.

I too felt uneasy when hearing that news. Try prayer, it has a peaceful affect on ones psyche.
