Her eyes were bloodshot.Looked like she had been crying.:D
I agree.....not a good analogy either (and I like Cincinnatus and his wife)
opens the door to the usual South bashers here.....the same ones who btw haven't a clue about the "values" that have proven to be the reason we won.
It's time to stop "sharing power" in the Senate. We must run the Senate like we own it...because we do.
Memo to Bill Frist: If you need to give him a job, make him Majority Toilet Attendant.
I agree completely. We Rebels would never whine.
Can't wait for The Day After Tomorrow coming to a liberal coastal city near you.
BUMP
And as long as I'm on this jag, Frist should also pass over Arlen Spector (RINO-Scotland) as Chairman of Judiciary. He clearly doesn't have Republican interests at heart and we need a strong hand on that committee.
"After fighting so hard for this victory, they'll face a president bent on driving his advantage and making history. They'll face a party that fought too hard not to seize the initiative."
One aspect of RECONSTRUCTION should be a change in Senate to mandate only simple majorities on judicial nominations.
Another great sign: the media idiots are saying Edwards is a contender for 2008.
Edwards!
Is that a hoot or what!? May they continue to be as stupid as they are!
Should read-
One aspect of RECONSTRUCTION should be a change in Senate rules to mandate only simple majorities on judicial nominations.
That's what I've been thinking. He was a terrible candidate, and look how close he came. Imagine if the full force of the MSM had been focused AGAINST sKerry and for Bush? The poodle wouldn't get more than 35% of the vote. He probably would have quit in the summer and let Hitlery run.
Speaking of Reconstruction. LA has it's first Republican Senator since Reconstruction. GA also has it's first Republican Legislature since the civil war. Martinez looks like he beat Castor so another dem seat went Republican.
So my question is, what happened to the democratic south?
It was still too close to be all that smug about it.
If we'd done everything we could, like the rats did, maybe we'd not be waiting around for the last trickling states to make absolutely sure our side had won. It was a nail-biter, and I was way too uncomfortable last night.
With all the issues surrounding this campaign, republicans and conservatives still don't "get" it.
The Democratic party got hijacked by the northern social liberals and moved away from the socially-conservative mores down here in the South. At the same time, the Republicans minimized their country-club social liberals and brought in the religious conservatives.
Basically, down here, social policy--things like gay "marriage", family values, individual freedom--trumps foreign policy. And foreign policy--defense, mainly--often trumps domestic policy. You'll see people here quite often vote for a social conservative/fiscal moderate before a social moderate/fiscal conservative. Southern Democrats used to be very conservative socially; the national party abandoned that, and the Republicans moved in.

"The Democrats and all of their institutions (the media, academia, unions, Hollywood, etc.) threw everything they had into this election"
Because we ARE a nation under God! Those who refuse to believe, have no faith are forever lost (lap dogs) *smirk*
