We were actually able to use some of their "we taught them a lesson" comments in voter drives, when people mentioned the LP.

Well the kid, instead of learning the lesson from his spanking, instead screamed so much about the spanking that his folks laid off just to have some peace and quiet around the house.

Meh.

The Republicans govern. The LPers get high.

If the LP focused on advancing libertarian phiosophy within the Rep party and the culture as a whole, maybe the Reps would govern more to their likeing. Lord knows the Dems offer exactly one thing to their new found allies in the LP.

It is sad to see that the LP has also adopted the Dems willfull historical ignorance and have no memory of 1994-5 and the electoral results...But then again, maybe it is the bong hits.

No, they put the little brat up for adoption. Looks like the Kerry people adopted it.

[You are quite mistaken.]
Well, you showed me.

Actually, I didn't bother to show you, because I doubted you'd learn from it. But I did want to point out that your claim was in error, lest anyone presume otherwise for lack of dissent.

[Well, simple things for simple minds.]
Why? What kind of mathematician are you?

Check my profile and decide for yourself.

Better question: how many pork-free budgets did the Republican Congress pass? How many times did the GOP senate candidate say "I will not vote for pork?"

I accept that these people did not vote correctly. But at least I understand why they voted the way they did--they were understandably frustrated with the GOP's complete ignorance of its responsibility for the big government expansion under Bush.

I can't, however, understand how people like you want to be frustrated with THEM, when you should be frustrated with the RINOs and party hacks who let pork through this Congress, and drove these voters away. Voters who in fact ARE important, or you would not be so angry.

The Republicans govern.

If we redecorated rooms like the Republicans govern, the walls would be so packed with layers of wallpaper, paint, and furniture that there would be about an inch of space left to walk in.

...and so he reduces himself to the level of Pee Wee Herman's, "I know you are but what am I!"

I can't say that I'm surprised, however.

A Better Better question: how many pork-free budgets did the Libertarians in Congress vote for?

Answer: None. They don't campaign to elect, just to spoil.

Nor will voting for pork get you LP voters. See what it gets you? No Senate seat in Washington.

So both you and those LP voters lose. But you lose your principles, too, whoring for pork. At least they can sleep knowing they voted their conscience.

I didn't vote the way they did. But where I could without damaging the GOP's chances, I did. And I completely understand why they did what they did. Unlike you, a man who evidently is 100% happy with the Congressional pork production machine.

Hardly. The LP'ers don't even realize they're losers...which is a state of glory for them it appears.

And again, if the LP could focus on something other then getting high and helping to elect leftwing Democrats, they might have a right to complain.

1) Brethren is spelled without an "a," dumbass.

2) Being oblivious is something at which you are obviously accomplished...

3) ...almost as accomplished as you are at being a dumbass.

Dumbass? There you go again, either confusing me for one of your breathern or mistakenly sending a family e-mail to me. I know, it' early in the morning and you're an LP'er...it must be very confusing.
