Follow the link to the secretary of State's official election tally results.
It shows Bush winning Nevada by a substantial margin.
It was a sweeping victory for incumbents in nearly every race, with WAY too many D's being elected.
We lost Don Gustavson, probably the most conservative member of the assembly. We also lost Ron Knecht.
I am not a pro at this, but it looks like we lost republican seats overall in the assembly, not good! I only hope the results are not really as gloomy as they appear to me at first glance.
Senate appears to have gone to equal numbers, five to each party. I do not think that will shift control to us, again, not good.
It also looks like we got skunked in the state supreme court races, I guess the casino's get to keep their hegemony intact.
I have been fearful for some time that the liberals might be becoming numerous enough to start pushing their candidates and agenda in Nevada. It looks like this election bears out that fear as legitimate!
This means that WE MUST be very attentive and VOCAL at the next session of our state legislature.
I strongly suspect that the Pres. race sucked too much oxygen out of the state races, and now we see the sad result.
Yea Bush won, Hooray, but I live in Nevada, and it is the Nevada legislature that will affect my future far more directly than than the presidency.
According to Channel 3, Kerry picked up alot of the new "Latino" vote. The new, illegal vote no doubt. I tried to warn everyone that the Dems were registering them without ID. It darn near cost Bush the state. As of 11pm news, Bush was only ahead by a little over a thousand.
