It's not a mandate though!

The Democrats bitched for 4 years Gore was the winner in 2000 because he got the popular vote.
Now, they're contesting Bush's victory when he won BOTH the popular and electoral vote?

My congratulations and thanks for the injection of hundreds of millions into the US economy by George Soros, organized labor, Eleanor Smeal, moveon.com, Peter Lewis, "The Boss" Springsteen and the Trial Lawyers lobby.

Big deal. Didn't Reagan win something like 96 states in two elections?

LOL, I never thought of it that way. They probably employed thousands of the totally unemployable. Hope it cost them big bucks.

A record that will drive the Dems crazy! The two largest popular vote counts: Bush and Reagan. This can become a slogan for the right for years to come....

So what was the turnout percentage? In 2000, about 105M people voted. 51% of voting-age population. This time it's 108M. Not much of an improvement, was it?

Ed Gillespie this morning pointed out that George W. Bush is the first presidential candidate to win a majority of the popular vote since 1988.

The country's population is significantly greater than when Reagan was in office.

For that matter Kerry probably got more votes than Reagan did due to this...

I'm thinking here: I think we should support those provisional ballots being counted as long as an official report is issued documenting their outcome.

I'm willing to bet 80 percent of them are fakes.

He didn't. No-one is trying to disparage Reagan, it's just an interesting fact and gives Bush a stronger mandate.

Not only that, he also gained seats in both houses in congress.

Dubya is the first sitting president to do that since LBH in 1964

Talk radio host Michael Savage is saying on Fox that people from MoveOn were going to people's houses in Ohio and escorting folks who hadn't voted to the polls--whether they were registered or not.

Korea and the Break Boy's big mouthed ol' lady, with meritorious mention to the mean evil ketchup lady slammin' teachers & librarians!!!

Thank you , all! <|:-)~~
