So why won't the US allow guys 40-55 in good shape into the National Guard. We can guard air ports, refineries, etc...Hell, I'll even provide my own 5.56mm ammo and A/R 15. Man, I wanna fix bayonnets on one of those f##kers...

You can be young, old and in-between to help.
I have a section on my 9-11 page describing what
we can do to help. Age is not an issue.

Scroll down to the section, "Fighting Terrorism: What You Can Do"

Doubtful you'll be at the right place at the right time if you're standing a post, especially with the Guard....since in many cases those M16's or M4's don't even have a loaded mag in the weapon. You're far better off if you live in a RTC state and exercise your rights by carrying (lawfully) a concealed 45 everywhere you go.....Trust me, there is a terror attack coming to a mall near you! The cops and soldiers in uniform will be the very first targets. But the lawfully armed citizens may very well save the day. This of course is an enduring RAT nightmare....

Mr. LJ is in his 40s, excellent shape, and loves to shoot. He's looked into various military branches and none will take him... :-(
