The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

Well, I don't have a pr firm, but I do have an OPINION:

The release of the UBL video tape was a GO signal.
Go where, attack where -- well, one can only speculate.

The various UBL graphics in a number of islamist and/or
jihad forums are showing support for UBL and his message.

That's my 1.5 cents.

I don't think so either at this point. I do remember wondering during the initial reports of the fire, if it was a specific target due to the name 'Georges' and occurring so close to the election.

Fortunately, it was just my over-active suspicious nature and nothing else.

Insurgents fire on Poland’s Embassy in Iraq

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — More than a dozen insurgents attacked the Polish Embassy in Baghdad with automatic weapons Sunday, and embassy guards returned fire in an exchange that lasted for a half hour, a Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman said. No one was reported killed or wounded.

Aleksander Checko said “a group of about 15 attackers” opened fire on the embassy at about 8 p.m.

“The gunfire went on about 30 minutes. Our guards returned fire and the attackers disappeared,” Checko said.

U.S. troops went to the embassy, but the attackers had fled, Checko said.

Poland is a U.S. ally in Iraq, where it commands a security force of 6,000 troops in a central part of the country.

They will supposedly discuss a new fatwa (religious authorization) that was issued recently. That is reportedly the "go" signal, not anything specific to the program itself.

We went around in circles this summer about the first nuclear fatwa. Despite all the links that have been posted on this thread, I have yet to see the text of the original nuclear fatwa that was issued in early 1998. I saw it a couple times right after 9/11. Not since.

Al Qaeda's nuclear capability is not just an old story, it is a very old story. We will only know the first time they succeed. We will never know how many times they have failed.

folks, they are stopping because they were threatened to have the UN sent in. guess what. those weapons arte DONE and they have FOOLED europe.. now that they have ended enrichment, the UN doesnt need to go into the country to check things out, which is perfect cover.... the shit is definitl;y about to hit the fan....
