Yup, Senator Edwards speaks. SoreLoserman II begins tonight, but I'm not waiting!
Congratulations President Bush!!
It's all over but the crying for the SoreLosermen!!
And now it's time for us to start planning the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball II!
I've had Kristinn checking venues and prices and we're in the process of getting a proposal from the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC (the other Wyndham that we used last time is already booked).
The costs have more than doubled from our first ball, so we're estimating the price per person will have to be in the neighborhood of $175 per person. We'll also have to move fast on this. We'll need to make a quick decision as soon after the elections results are official as we possibly can and then we'll need to quickly raise the funds to put up the required deposit.
So, here's the question: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?
If so, please post here if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party.
Thank you all very much and hope to see you in DC on January 20th!!
By the way, everyone told us last time that the Free Republic Ball was the best one in town and it was half the price or less than all the others. I suspect that this Ball will also be the best in town and at $175 will still be priced less than any other!
need 2 tickets
I went to that last time after lucking out and scoring a ticket. It was a blast to be sure but the thing was WAY over sold and WAY over crowded - too many people (most of them effete DC sociallites and bootlickers) to really have fun at. The main event of the night was supposed to be Bush's preinaugural appearance, but the room was so full that you couldn't move around and could barely even see him. After a minute or two in the speaker hall I went to the concert room downstairs and spent the rest of the night listening to the Beach Boys about 5 feet away from the stage.
I'm in for two!
Jim (or someone who knows) -
Will you accept PayPal for the ticket purchase? Thanks and YAY!!!!
Count me in and I will be by myself more than likely. Thanks Jim!
Gov Mike and his band were great!
BTW, I hope that Freeper holdonnow can attend!
I remember meeting Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson that evening, which was a privilege, and a whole buncha great Freepers who I hope will be back (all y'all are pinged).
Did you go to the FreeperBall?? THAT was great!! Mike Huckabee was fabulous! Can't go this year...we live in Seattle...too far to go. :(
Alas, DC is close enough, but not cheap enough. I'll read the narratives right here. I hope everyone takes plenty of snaps.
1 for me.
Oi! I was going to report abuse on that post until I saw the author of the post. (and then request a ticket for the event! *LOL*)
Seriously, I would so love to attend, but while I could spring for a ticket, and a hotel room...I'm not sure my post Christmas budget will stretch to a transAtlantic flight.
Guess, I'm going to have to wait for the Gop win in 2008! :-)
Count me in!
Plus 3 here
I will bring a guest.
I should say we are in for 2
It's GIRL!!!
Ok Mrs SV let go of the purse strings a bit. I'm in for 2.

Count us in........2.
Jimmy Valentine's brother and his lovely and beautiful assistant, Vivien, plan on attending.
How will we know if we get tickets?
