Yup, Senator Edwards speaks. SoreLoserman II begins tonight, but I'm not waiting!
Congratulations President Bush!!
It's all over but the crying for the SoreLosermen!!
And now it's time for us to start planning the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball II!
I've had Kristinn checking venues and prices and we're in the process of getting a proposal from the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC (the other Wyndham that we used last time is already booked).
The costs have more than doubled from our first ball, so we're estimating the price per person will have to be in the neighborhood of $175 per person. We'll also have to move fast on this. We'll need to make a quick decision as soon after the elections results are official as we possibly can and then we'll need to quickly raise the funds to put up the required deposit.
So, here's the question: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?
If so, please post here if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party.
Thank you all very much and hope to see you in DC on January 20th!!
By the way, everyone told us last time that the Free Republic Ball was the best one in town and it was half the price or less than all the others. I suspect that this Ball will also be the best in town and at $175 will still be priced less than any other!
Hey Neets... will you be at the Ball? It's been awhile since we've seen you.. ;-)
Much as I'd love to come sweetie, I really can't afford it right now...I just had to buy a new car.
Travelin man!!! Pretty cool!! LOL.
You'll definitely need to take a cab. The Sheraton should be able to get you a cab in a few minutes to take you into town. Plenty of cabs in D.C. around to take you home after the Ball.
Which Balls does he go to???
Have you never heard of the 'Black Tie and Boots Ball"?? It's the Texas Ball and EVERYONE wears boots!...ballgowns and all! It's a gas!
There's an official Bush-Cheney Inaugural committee that organizes most of the balls. Bush will show up at those. Our ball is organized by FR and is not affiliated with Bush-Cheney.
Maryland and Virginia are just a Metro ride away. Check hotels there.
Oh well... perhaps at another event. ;-)
I live in NJ and my daughter and her family live just outside of DC.
Please count me in for 2 tickets.
Respectfully requesting two tickets.
Peter W. Kessler & Pete's Wife will be there.
Yes, let me know. I would like to go.
presidentbowen (Daniel Bowen)
Count me and my wife in. We had a great time in 2005. This will be even sweeter.
You must have had a good time..before you had a good time! :)
It was a fun night, girl - it was so cool putting screen names to faces (OK - sometimes it wasn't).
Even if we cannot attend this grand gala celebration, and if we donate to the Inaugural Ball Freeper festivities, can we be remembered in some way as extending a hand to the cause for celebration?
Update, we will definitely be four happy celebrants at the Freepers' Ball.
I would like to throw myself into the line and I'll be bringing my wife....so two here please! If there is a hotel block being secured, please provide info ASAP...I'm travelling from Illinois.
Yes, Illinois...I'm a Pilgrim in an unholy land.
