Yup, Senator Edwards speaks. SoreLoserman II begins tonight, but I'm not waiting!
Congratulations President Bush!!
It's all over but the crying for the SoreLosermen!!
And now it's time for us to start planning the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball II!
I've had Kristinn checking venues and prices and we're in the process of getting a proposal from the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC (the other Wyndham that we used last time is already booked).
The costs have more than doubled from our first ball, so we're estimating the price per person will have to be in the neighborhood of $175 per person. We'll also have to move fast on this. We'll need to make a quick decision as soon after the elections results are official as we possibly can and then we'll need to quickly raise the funds to put up the required deposit.
So, here's the question: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?
If so, please post here if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party.
Thank you all very much and hope to see you in DC on January 20th!!
By the way, everyone told us last time that the Free Republic Ball was the best one in town and it was half the price or less than all the others. I suspect that this Ball will also be the best in town and at $175 will still be priced less than any other!
I was at the Freeper Ball in Jan 2001 and I will never forget it. Best time ever hanging out with Gov. Huckoby and celebrating a Bush victory. We are definitely up for it again this year.
I wanna go...I wanna go...
Is this open to newbies?
If I get an offer from a freeper-babe to be my escort, I'd have to seriously consider it!
You betcha.
"If I get an offer from a freeper-babe to be my escort, I'd have to seriously consider it!"
You've got two months to find one! Shouldn't be too hard for a Texan!
Good luck in WNY...may I suggest a local house of worship? Or go stag and have your pick of lovelies at the ball. ;>)
But of course!
I'll be there with at least five friends. Had a blast last time.
I will commit for at least two people, maybe four.
I'll be there. What can I do to help? Fold napkins? Put up lights?
My wife and I will be delighted to attend! Please count us in! I heard it was a great time.
Also, can well behaved, very good, conservative children aged 13 and 9 come? I don't go anywhere without my kids. Of course, I'm more than willing to leave them in the hotel room with Sponge Bob if I have to do so. (kidding)
Jane, may we at last meet old friend?
Yup. They can come. See you there!
Jim
Sounds like fun, nutmeg!
I hope so, Lisa. I really wanted to go in 2001, but finances kept me from attending. This is my last chance, and this is what I am asking for as a Christmas present. My son has committed to travel with me, if my husband's work won't allow it. I will be there, if I have to start walking in December.
Sign me up for two.
Add two more to the list! My wife and I will be there!
PLEASE add me to the ping list!
