This comes from total reliable sources -- like you can take it to the bank. Oklahoma Republicans have taken over the Oklahoma House for the first time in 80+ years (tied then) and we have only been a State since 1907. Great day to be an Oklahoma Republican! Have been told that the Governor has conceded to the new Speaker of the House -- a Republican.
We still don't know about the State Senate here in Oklahoma but my State Senator who was in a tough race won handily with 58% of the vote.
With a win by Dr. Coburn, Republicans in Oklahoma are celebrating.
Wow! Woohoo!
Excellent!!!
Isn't that fantastic! Hard to believe. My State Rep was passing out his cards that said Minority Whip as he has to get new ones with Majority on them.
Good news. Thanks for the update and watching the returns from out of state and couldn't get the update.
Oklahoma conservative PING!
Lord bless 'em! Texas did it for the first time in about 150 years in 2002!
Congratulations! Great news!
Can you ping? We did it! Oklahoma House is OURS and Dr. Tom is going to the United States Senate!
FGS
I remember when Texas Republicans took over and some thought we would in 2002 but we didn't. You guys led the way!
Couldn't wait to get home to post the news. When I left they didn't know the exact number of seats we picked up but it could have been 7 or 8.
Great day in Oklahoma -- Republicans came through big in this State and we kept Kerry in the 30's for popular vote! I heard they called our two states right away!
This is great news for y'all. Start thinking now about all the bills you'd like to pass in the Legislature, but couldn't because the left kept them bottled up.
Thank you for the great OK news, PKM... this is the first item I've posted since getting to FR after RNC work this eve about 1.5 hrs ago. The rest seems too up in the air for me to stop praying. I'm hoping for several more victories, and I don't even care if they are only thin ones, before I start my real celebration.
Congratulations! OK led the way for the President, and now the new state house gives the prospect for reform that can make my home state economically competitive.
WOO-HOO!
Now tell me Bush is going to win Ohio and this election TONIGHT.
I never could figure why it was Democrat as the people are very conservative and civil!
Bush is going to win Ohio -- there is a problem in Columbus with people still voting and Columbus is Republican. I believe that is why it hasn't been called.
LOL!
Well, I live in Mississippi,
but I agree with you about the
nice folks in Oklahoma.
Stay safe and God speed.
