NRO: Bush will win Ohio, FLorida...Upper Mid-West Battlegrounds look VERY competitive.

Over in the Corner, Ramesh reports from a Bushie, ""Virtually every county in Florida that is mostly reported has swung to us since 2000, the median being something like 5-6% in terms of vote margin. We’ll see how the Gold Coast comes in, but with numbers like this we should not have a problem."

According to a source close to the Bush campaign, the current assessment is that the President will win Ohio and Florida. We'll be competitive and have a chance to win in all the battleground states including Wisconsin, Iowa, New Mexico and Pennsylvania - states that Al Gore won in 2000.

Then he passes on this huge information - I wonder if this is based on these bad exit polls, or on actual ballot results:

The exit polls show the national electorate at 57% female when in 2000 it was 52/48.

The President is winning men in exit polls by only 4-points. The last battleground poll this morning showed him winning men by 12 points.

Good Signs:

Bush is getting 41% of the Hispanic vote. That's 6-points higher than we garnered in 2000.

In Florida, we are winning Hispanics by 10-points, 55/45. In 2000, we won them by only 1- point. And, they are a larger share of the FL electorate. Hispanics are 12% this year, when they were 10% in 2000.

In Ohio, we are garnering 15% of the African-American vote and winning white men and white women.

Big increases in turnout in Republican counties in Florida, Michael Barone reports on FOX. He's winning some Gore counties.

The mood and outlook among the Bush-friendly FOX commentators has changed dramatically in the past hour.

These exit polls are total trash! Are voters intentionally giving wrong answers to mess with the polsters? Nah. LOL

It's safe to turn on the TV again?

I've been listening to Hugh Hewitt. GREAT coverage including the occasional drop in to FNC.

Bush is doing better in his counties than in 2000, but the issue is whether Kerry duplicates that in the dem counties. Fox has revealed the exit polls showed Bush losing Fl, OH, WI by pretty big margins but the GOP says real votes are not matching the exit polls. Let's hope.

Look at Missouri's breakdown for Bush...he is winning Men and Women, has more of the Republican vote than Kerry's Democratic, and is winning Independents. Bush has Missouri locked up.

Forget MO, it will go with us, they are still counting St Louis, KC and Columbia, the rest of the state is ours big time.

If the CIC holds Ohio and Florida, nothing else matters. The bastards will lose.

I can't see MO not voting Bush. If they did, MO is on my crap list for all time.

Fox confessed a week or two ago that they are inexperienced at polling. This certainly confirms it. They got suckered.

I have trouble believing a source that earlier today told us we were all DOOMED!!!

Then again, after looking at the ACTUAL RESULTS and comparing them to 2000, I feel pretty good anyway :-)
