“Undetected” Voters Will Swing This Election
Serbian Americans for Bush ^ | Nov. 2 2004 | Dr. Serge Trifkovic

Posted on 11/02/2004 9:22:27 AM PST by dj_animal_2000

Much has been made this election of the "undetected" voter, from new voters to cell-phone voters. But there is another undetected voting block that will make a crucial impact on this election: Serbian-Americans.

There are up to two million Serbian-Americans, about a million of them registered voters. It is estimated that two-thirds of them are concentrated in seven battleground states: in Ohio (esp. Cleveland), Wisconsin (Milwaukee), Florida, Missouri (St. Louis), Pennsylvania, Michigan (Detroit), and New Jersey.

In the past they had been split along party lines, with a slight majority favoring Democrats. Not this year. Thanks to a “get-out-the-vote” campaign targeting the swing states, Serbian-Americans have come together to form a solid block – in support of President George W. Bush.

The reason is simple: The Bush Administration is, by far, more even-handed when it comes to Serbian-Americans’ ancestral homeland. The President has also addressed the concerns, hopes and aspirations of all Orthodox Christians in the United States in the manner that his opponent cannot and will not do. The latter’s foreign and social policies are molded by the same ideologues who bombed Serbia and owed their rise to an unpatriotic President.

To counteract Senator Kerry’s blatantly one-sided Balkan policy proposals, Serbian-American groups – including ours – have undertaken registration drives and grass-roots campaigns to get the word out to about his record and the role Serbian-Americans can play in preventing a Kerry presidency. The Serbian American Voters' Union has also taken out print ads in major daily papers in the battleground states, including Ohio, Florida and Wisconsin, to inform voters of the disastrous Balkan plans of Mr. Kerry and his closest circle of foreign policy advisors.

E Pluribus, Unum -- “From many, one,” has been etched in the consciousness of all Americans regardless of ethnic and racial lines. In parallel terms, E Pluribus, Unum is not all that different from the old Serb slogan, “Samo Sloga Srbina Spasava” (“Only Unity Will Save the Serbs”). But how closely we approximate that old, sage admonishment is a matter of endless debate and well beyond the scope of this comment. Suffice it to say, for Serbian Americans this notion of E Pluribus Unum (from many, one) may well be the greatest challenge we face-- whether on the American soil or elsewhere. This is particularly true within the sphere of social responsibility and our participation in the public policy in the U.S., and the effects of our participation in the forthcoming presidential election.

For once, let’s us put into practice the notion of E Pluribus, Unum—“From Many, One.” “Samo Sloga Srbina Spasava” may never have sounded truer! Let us all come out, as one, for Bush-Cheney presidential ticket this November 2nd.

Won't matter in St. Louis Missouri. The dead voters always out number the living.

Yup, my co-workers are big Bush supporters, from Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia. Something about their churches being burnt out by muslims makes Bush an appealing candidate.

Also, lots of new Americans are starting their own businesses and fuguring out our tax codes.

I explained to my co-worker a former soviet officer how Kerry voted to send troops into battle and then voted against the funds ot support them. As he succinctly stated: "Thees ees Sheet!."

Do you think more Serbs will be mobilized than in 2000? Resentment against clinton back then must have been white hot, and Gore was tarred with clinton's brush.

Oh, yes! Just look at Kerry's cabinet, all Clintoon staff: Holbrook, Rubin, Lockhart, Joseph Biden..

I am Serbian-American and I know that all of my friends are wired up for Bush to win. The drawback is we are all from Massachusetts... Actually one friend of mine is in WV and this is the first time she decided to vote, just to make sure that Bush will win.

Yes, SERBS FOR BUSH! There are lots of us and we do vote!

The "undecideds" are whom? Who at this point is undecided?

You are considered "undecided" and voting if you are the following:

Dead
Illegal
Mickey Mouse

That is my take of the MSM's definition.

LOL!

Sorry! I'm on the phone trying to get folks out to vote. So? I'm chatting with you and chatting with these folks.

THE GOP EFFORTS TO GET THE VOTE OUT IS AWESOME!

A lady that didn't have a ride to the poll (and didn't vote last time around) is getting a ride thanks to my hubby. (It's not like he had anything else to do at the moment. LOL!)

If anyone knows a person in the Hampton Roads area (in Virginia) that needs a ride, please let me know. We'll drive to get them there.
