A voter called into WTAM, a Cleveland radio station, to report that Moveon.org had signs posted at the entrance of a polling place, against state law prohibiting signs to about 150 to 175 ft. Complaint to precinct captain at 157th street was met with they are taking exit polls, "call this number". When voter called, he got a recorded message.....

These nutters must be slapped upside the head, i.e. made to endure a Bush win.

When people see stuff like this they need to do two things:
1. Complain to a poll manager inside. They know the law and know who to call to deal with the problem. In some cases, it will be the police they call.
2. Call your local Republican Headquarters in your county if you are unhappy with the response by the poll manager.
3. Call your Voting Commission to ask them to deal with the problem.
This is the time to handle it; the polls have only been open for one hour. Don't delay!

My husband tells me there was a guy with a Moveon.org sign at our polling place in the south Dayton suburbs. I don't know if he was inside or not.

Driving in this morning I saw people outside a polling place who had on white jackets that said "VOTERS RIGHT TEAM". Looked to me like they had flyers of some sort.
To bad there weren't any people there. They were just getting soaked by the rain. Hope it stays that way.

Check your local election laws regarding signs. Complain if it was illegal.
Looks like Moveon.org is doing this in more states than just Ohio.

Maybe I am naive, but if I see signs or electioneering too close to my polling place, I will take action myself. (i.e. pull down the signs, ask people to leave).

They are so organized its scary. They came by our neighborhood last week and had a huge list with every address and registered voter. They found out who supported Kerry and who supported Bush. I just got back from voting, and they had someone standing outside the polls. As you left, they asked if you would like to have your name removed from their list, so that you wouldn't be contacted. I presume sometime mid-afternoon, they will start contacting those who said that they supported Kerry, but did not vote yet. Of course, my name was not on their contact list. I don't see how we have a shot in Pennsylvania with this type of organization... :( BTW, this is in Pittsburgh.
Is this legal? Funny thing, my area is hugely Democrat heavy, yet the polling place (a fire station) had 2 Bush signs taped to the building. I am sure that this probably isn't legal either...
BUT, I would be willing to trade away the Bush signs for getting rid of the Moveon.org person, this will make it harder for them to do their follow up phone calls.

I voted here in Ohio (IN THE RAIN) at 6:30am; POLS WERE PACKED. I live in a very rural area, my neighbors are all farmers, and could not believe the turnout

Get those video cameras out folks... and if they leave be sure to get the plate numbers -
might be a good idea to have a second video team waiting in case they get nasty with the first team...

A hopeful and positive note here. I live half an hour west of Cleveland. Our polling station was very crowded. My husband forgot to remove his George W. Bush button before entering the poll station. A worker politely asked him to remove it stating it was law that he couldn't be wearing inside [her words] "Even though it's the right one." This is a precinct and area which is heavily democratic but also very Catholic. My gut tells me the silent support of President Bush is very strong and that people who would normally vote democratic are voting from a moral or spiritual conviction.

Exit polls or not.
They are still not allowed within 100 feet of a polling place.
Report them.
