In the Rasmussen poll, this race has been close all along. Hell, Bush was only up four even after his own convention, according to Rasmussen. A 1.7% lead in his poll is fairly significant.

I didn't know your ballots would allow that? :-)

The reports from Charlotte, NC last week were true. The poll workers went into the voting booth with you to show you how use the "new" machines. Both my husband and daughter were told, "you vote for President by pushing this button". You can imagine that it wasn't the Bush/Cheney button.

My only experience was at a local library. 2.5 hours after standing in line, the last bookshelf contained miscellaneous books, Dr. Phil type things, and prominently displaying John Kerry Tour of Duty. Barfffff

Voted this morning at 6am - first one on line in West Islip NY. Bush won't win NY, but maybe we can make it closer than one would think.

Prayers lifted for our President and the Troops this morning. Let's win one for the Gipper...

I've been listening to the alphabets for half an hour now. They are nearly all saying that turnout favors Kerry and turnout looks like it'll be very high. So far this morning only one---Pat Buchanan---has said GWB will win. :(

I heard two others - Rudy Guiliani although with less conviction that Lindsey Graham.

Turnout usually does go for the Democrats, but I do not think this time it will.

The election is not going to be that close.

I'm a conservative in New York City (there is at least one of us), and when I went out this morning to walk my dog before work I saw a line at a polling station in my neighborhood that wrapped around a entire city block. I'm sure most were voting for Kerry, but remember, I live in "Little Moscow." GO BUSH!

Agreed, on quite a few of the ballots are social/moral issue questions, including one on marriage. That works in the Presidents favor.

Democrats live the past.

Post 9/11 the GOP has grown into the majority party of the nation.

A large turnout will mean a large Bush victory.

We did not have some 4 million Christian voters last time who will now be voting against the homosexual lobby.

Same here - arrived at 6:10 AM & lines were nearly out the door. I'm in a very conservative rural part of central Virginia. For the first time this election season, I'm starting to feel confident!
