(Columbia) Nov. 1, 2004 - The State Election Commission says some voters may have received incorrect information about the location of polling places from a get-out-the-vote telephone effort.
Commission director Marci Andino says the agency appreciates "the intentions" of the group known as Emily's List. That's a political action committee that helps pro-abortion rights Democratic women. Andino says voters who might be confused should check the polling location at www.scvotes.org.
A spokeswoman for Emily's List says the organization placed about 171,000 computerized calls this morning to Democratic voters. Ramona Oliver with Emily's List says the organization has gotten four phone calls from voters who got incorrect information. Oliver says the election commission would not tell her how many complaints the agency received.
Tom McLean is ready to go to the polls and vote for President Bush, but Monday he got a phone call that pointed him in the wrong direction, "They asked for me and they said he needs to vote at another precinct and they mentioned another precinct."
The caller said Tom needed to vote at Killian Elementary, but his normal precinct is Rice Creek Elementary. He was suspicious and called Richland County to confirm the change and that's when he found out he got bad information, "I expected it. I just didn't expect to be one of them."
Tom believes Emily's List did it on purpose and he worries it will keep some people from voting, "They're going to go to the precinct where they said they were supposed to go and they're going to wait in the long lines. Then they're going to get frustrated when they find out they can't vote there."

The Democrats dirty tricks just don't stop.

My thoughts exactly.
One big ball of confusion.
Scheming, meddlesome, baby-killing witches.
Anyone who supports killing babies would have no worries lying.
Click Here if you want to be added to or removed from this list.
I'd say it's a good bet that is what their intentions are
And if they ever gain the power they want, infanticide and euthenasia are just the beginning...
Stalin in Russia pushed this issue, unearthed records indicate over 20 MILLION ADULTS were butchered, not counting abortions.
Hitler pursued this as well, and I guess I don't need to remind anyone that he butchered 6 million Jews.
Once you devalue babies, NO human life is sacred.
I called Mother, 84 years young, in Columbia.
She said Demint, Barbara Bush and Lynn Cheney had called her with "ya know, recordings".
She knows just where and for whom she is voting.
If you know of older folks in the Columbia area it might be a good idea to check with them in the morning.
If they're prepared to kill babies, they won't draw the line at anything.

Yet somehow this Republican male ended up getting a phone call from them.
They support killing babies...do we trust them to not "phone freak" old people into going to the wrong precincts?
Good grief--won't Emily's List be liable in civil court for this? They have huge deep pockets.
Maybe they should be renamed: Hillary's List.
