John Kerry's campaign has been playing the Bruce Springsteen song 'No Surrender' endlessly at his campaign rallies.
FYI The two opening lines of this song go like this:
We busted out of class had to get away from those fools
We learned more from a three minute record than we ever learned in school
And they are proud of this??
How appropriate for this crowd of ignoramouses.
I've had a self-education the last 6 years since I've been in public school... I've learned more now, exponentially, than I ever learned there.
His theme on Wednesday will be The End by Jim Morrison & the Doors
As I have said, springsteen is an ignoramus-and so is sKerry, no if's and's or but's.
Yeah but how much did you learn from a "three minute record?"
ACTION ALERT!!!

PS: DU and Daily KOS are pumping pro Kerry stories. Come on don't let George down!
PPS: Post a couple thoughts in the Yahoo discussion thread if you have an account, too.
well, now days you just might learn more from a three
minute record than you would in school.depends on where you go to school.
just remember, sKerry is against school choice whether it
be vouchers or tuition tax credits .
As far a retreat or surrender...the Osama video answers what
he thinks sKerry would do.
There was a song in '00 the Dims were playing that they had to change some of the words to because it was embarrassing to them. Anyone recall that? I can't remember the song.
Shows what Kerry and Springsteen think of the teacher's unions abilities...
Well, I leaned more in my break from school than I did in school. I can't argue with that line.
Although Kerry's theme song should be "Just a gigolo".
BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN WHEN DRAFTED:
Checked "Homosexual" on his physical application.
The Army rejected him.
The real Boss is the soldier who went to Vietnam in his place so he could stay home, smoke dope, play guitar and make millions denegrating those who served honorably.
Got A Plan Man
(to the tune of Rubberband Man by the Spinners)
Hand me down my walkin cane
Hand me down my hat
Hurry now and dont be late
'Cause we aint got time to chat
You and me were goin out
To catch the latest plans
Guaranteed to blow your mind
So high you wont come down
Hey, yall prepare yourself
For the Got a Plan Man
You never heard a plan
Like the Got a Plan Man
Youre bound to lose control
When the Plan Man starts to plan
Oh, Lord, this dude is outta sight
Everything he plans
seems to come out right
Once I went to hear them plan
At a club in DC town
I was so surprised, I was hypnotized
By the plan this cats puttin down
When I saw this tall thin guy
Stretch a plan between his toes
Hey, I laughed so hard cause the man got down
When he finally reached his goal
Hey, yall prepare yourself
For the Got a Plan Man
You never heard a plan
Like the Got a Plan Man
Youre bound to lose control
When the Plan Man starts to plan
Got that plan
Up on his toes
And then he wriggled it up
All around his nose
(Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo)
Guaranteed to blow your mind
(Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo)
Doin' all that plannin', yet keepin time
(Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo)
Where in the world did he learn that, oh, Lord
(Doo doo doo doo doo)
Lord, help him get away
Hey, yall prepare yourself
For the Got a Plan Man
You never heard a plan
Like the Got a Plan Man
Youre bound to lose control
When the Plan Man starts to plan
Doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo
Got a Plan Man, Got a Plan Man
How much of this plan do he think we can stand
So much plannin', grace and debonair from one man, Lord
And then he had nerve to wiggle his left toe
To his knee, got the planin in his head, yall
Ah, come on, baby
Hey, yall prepare yourself
For the Got a Plan Man
You never heard a plan
Like the Got a Plan Man
Youre bound to lose control
When the Plan Man starts to plan
Got a Plan Man starts to plan
Movin up and down across the land
Got people all in his ways
Everything about him seems out of place
Just a planin, just a planin, just a plan-plan-planin
Just a plan, Got a Plan Man
Just a planin, just a planin, just a plan-plan-planin
Just a plan, Got a Plan Man
Get down
Oh, get down Teresa
Uh-huh
but then again...
Johnny Ramone: 1948-2004 - RIP
Along with Terazzzzzz's remark about teachers and REAL JOBS!!
And to think, Born in the USA was the first cassette tape I ever bought with my lawn-mowing money. *shakes head in disbelief*
I like these lyrics better:
"Only in America"
Sun comin' up over New York City
School bus driver in a traffic jam
Starin' at the faces in her rear view mirror
Lookin' at the promise of the promised land
One kid dreams of fame and fortune
One kid helps pay the rent
One could end up goin' to prison
One just might be president
Refrain:
Only in America (where we're dreamin' in red, white and blue)
Only in America (where we dream as big as we want to)
We all get a chance
Everybody gets to dance
Only in America
Sun goin' down on an L.A. freeway
Newlyweds in the back of a limousine
A welder's son and a banker's daughter
All they want is everything
Bridge (on CD):
She came out here to be an actress
He was a singer in a band
They just might go back to Oklahoma
And talk about the stars they could have been
Alternate bridge (from Republican convention):
Some men they dream of fame and fortune
Some work hard to pay the rent
Some give their lives to save our freedom
Heroes we never will forget
(Refrain)
(Instrumental)
(Refrain)
