Tomorrow I and my wife will vote for George W. Bush. Tonight, I heard on the radio that an Army soldier was killed in an ambush in southeast Afghanistan. My son is stationed in southeast Afghanistan. I checked Fox news and they have an article about a US soldier killed and two wounded in a patrol near Orgun. My son is on a patrol near Orgun. I do not care if it is him, tomorrow we will still vote for Bush. God bless America and God bless President Bush.
I have not told my wife. She is worried enough that Kerry might win. She does not need this additional worry.
Praying for your son.
Ping!
May God bless you and your family, your Son is a Hero to our family!
I have just returned from voting and saw your post.
This soldier has prayed the 91st Psalm for your son. God will shelter him in His mighty right hand.
Sir, this Sailor prays for your family and son. I can offer you no real words of comfort other than he is doing an honorable job so our children hopefully won't have to; regardless of his status. Please update us when you can.
Prayers sent to your family and for the safety of your son. Daily prayers for all of our men and women in uniform and in harm's way. God Bless and Keep you.
Prayers for your son and all our soldiers.
God be with your son for a safe return.
prayers go out for you and your family.
You see, our "#2 Son" is also in the Army in Afghanistan -- on his fourth combat tour...
I'm sure the Lord will forgive both of our secret prayers that the bad news is not for us -- just as I am sure tht he will honor our prayers for the safety of all our sons and daughters.
--------------------
Dear Lord, please forgive us parents for the selfishness of our love that causes us to cry out," Please, not mine!" at times like this, But, also, please hear our heartfelt prayers that You keep Your hands of protection and healing on all our sons and daughters who place their own lives between us and evil "over there".
Please spread your arms of grace across all our children, for we know they were Yours -- even before they were ours...
But, Lord, should the time ever come that we are called upon to receive that news which we all dread, please give us the strength and grace to turn toward -- not away from -- You, and to accept the comfort that only You can give: the loving sympathy of a Parent who saw his own Son give up His own life in love for others...
Thank you, Lord, for the bravery of our children who place their lives in harm's way for us! And, Lord, help our bravery be worthy of theirs...
prayers for your son too....
I am praying right now. God Bless our troops and your family.

Pryaing for the safety of your son and for all the sons and daughters who keep us safe, God bless.
Our prayers are with you, your family and your couragious son. Please post a note if you hear from him.
I pray for your son's safety and I will share my personal experience with you. In 1984 I went to the polls and voted for Reagan before attending my son's funeral later in the day. He was 18 and killed in a car wreck but I voted. I was in shock but I voted for Reagan as I had planned to do before my son's untimely death.
Thanks "Mr. Silverback" - I'm there with prayers.......
