My Son May be Dead
Posted on 11/01/2004 5:38:38 PM PST by american_ranger
Tomorrow I and my wife will vote for George W. Bush. Tonight, I heard on the radio that an Army soldier was killed in an ambush in southeast Afghanistan. My son is stationed in southeast Afghanistan. I checked Fox news and they have an article about a US soldier killed and two wounded in a patrol near Orgun. My son is on a patrol near Orgun. I do not care if it is him, tomorrow we will still vote for Bush. God bless America and God bless President Bush.
I have not told my wife. She is worried enough that Kerry might win. She does not need this additional worry.

Thank you, heavenly Father, for this family of patriots. Bless them in these anxious hours, and allow them to feel your arms around their shoulders. Ease their fears, and help them to rest. Bless all our soldiers, Lord, we place them in your tender care.
If AR's son has joined you, Father, we ask that you'll comfort this family during the dark days to follow. Lift them up, Father, and support them as only you can. For this and all things, we'll give you all the glory. Amen.

American_Ranger, you and your son are in our prayers. Regardless of the outcome of the news, an American soldier gave his life in service to our nation and for liberty. The American people are extremely grateful for his sacrifice. As a career Marine, I understand as do you, that our troops deserve strong, steady leadership from a commander who appreciates their service and holds them in the highest regard. My twin sons made these signs specifically for waving to voters on Election Day, to remind the voting public about the troops and their commander.
I hope you will report to us that your son is OK.

My prayers are with you and your family. I just returned from a prayer meeting for our country and our leaders and our soldiers were on the top of the list. May God send his angels to build a hedge around them and may God comfort you in this trying time.
