A TO THE POINT HEADS-UP (John Kerry was dishonorably discharged from the military)

A TO THE POINT HEADS-UP

I had a conversation with Bill Middendorf earlier today. Bill was the Secretary of the Navy from April 1974 to January 1978. I got to know Bill well when he was Ronald Reagan\'s Ambassador to the OAS and we worked together on support for the Contras.

Bill has agreed to publicly state that to the best of his knowledge and recollection, John Kerry was dishonorably discharged from the military and fought to have this reversed while he (Bill)was SECNAV, which Bill of course refused to do. When Carter became president, Kerry secured the honorable discharge from Bill\'s successor.

The OTH (Other Than Honorable)discharge story has been out for a while, but for a former Secretary of the Navy to confirm it is major news. WorldNetDaily will be headlining it, as should the Washington Times tomorrow, and possibly Drudge. For some reason, Drudge, whom Jerry Corsi (coauthor of Unfit for Command) just talked to a few minutes! ago, is resisting. I also gave the story to Neal Cavuto at Fox.

I thought all TTPers should get a heads-up on this.

God parted the Red Sea, now get moving!

And the Lord got up on Easter morning and moved a huge rock! So like Stockpirate say, "Now get moving!"

It comes to my mind that Hillary Clinton would probably be in possession of Kerry's full records (military and FBI) and to slip this out to the press as a "Hail Mary" on election eve benefits Hillary Rodham- however it shakes out. Much more than it benefits the GOP. In fact, the timing of this will only hurt the Bush campaign.

God Bless America and Stand Beside Her as we battle the mother-of-all dirty elections tomorrow....

I have some thoughts on this.

First, if Kerry loses.. this goes in the who cares pile.

Second if Kerry wins.. I think this gets alot more interesting. If he was dishonorably discharged then it seems to me it could be argued he may be ineligible to hold the office of President. Thats not to say its a winning argument. Just it can be argued. Some activist judge could then decide to do what they did to GWB and force the Navy to release the relevant documents.

1) Who has standing to sue in the case someone is ineligible for the office they seek? I would think any secretary of state of any one of the 50 states but I don't have a clue. Its just someone would have to be eligible to request to be put on the ballot, I would think. I also think that at least one state has in their candidate application some clause that attests under seal that the candidate is eligible to run for the office and allows the state to verify the information given on the application.

And, if the candidates application is attested under seal is it possible that being ineligible for the office sought would be a criminal act? In this case, does the Privacy afforded by not signing the form 180 shield the court from access to a record that is relevant to the state's case?

2) Where is the signed affidavit?

3) Will this guy name names of other people in a position to corroborate this testimony?

I remember a sign that was hanging in the office of my junior high school principal, "Experience is a tough teacher, she gives the test first and the lesson afterward." It will be very interesting should Kerry win and then all these things that were rumored for the last year or so start being proved one after the other. Something is going to have to give in this whole MSM vs. America struggle. I don't know what it will be, but it simply can't go on like it's been going for the last four years. You would think that with all the conflicting polls that are being reported every hour, 24 hours a day, that we would catch on to just how little value polling has now. It's like being asked to report 10 times a second on the life status of a healthy person by checking his pulse. It would go something like "dead... dead... dead... dead... alive!... dead... dead... dead." and so forth. I rarely ask God for a miracle but this is one time I am praying that whatever the results of tomorrow's election turn out to be that they will be sufficiently one-sided to help bring an end to this polling craze that has infected us.

re: "we pride ourselves on a 'free press'"

Actually this is a great example of a free press. They are free to print what they choose to print and they are simply exercising their rights when they sit on a story. It might be bad journalism, but it's certainly within their rights as a 'free press'.
