Bin Laden’s Bluster
National Review ^ | November 1, 2004 | Mansoor Ijaz

Posted on 11/01/2004 12:51:04 PM PST by NavySEAL F-16

He's baaaaaaack! And what a nuisance he is. Osama bin Laden appeared out of the ethereal reaches of his less than cave-like digs last week to opine on how Americans could avoid another attack at his behest, and which candidate he thought would make a less-threatening president — for him and his terrorist legions, that is.

Was he crazy to do so? More likely, he's crazy like a fox is crazy. With an appearance timed as deftly as a Terry McAuliffe "gotcha" ad for the Democrats, bin Laden wins no matter who wins on Tuesday.

In appearing as he did, bin Laden worked on the assumption that American voters can be intimidated. And that is why the American people must send him a resounding message in return: We will come after you no matter where you hide, no matter how long it takes, and no matter what it costs. There will be no change in the policy of the United States when it comes to defeating Islamist terrorism.

A Kerry victory would only return Clinton-era retreads, officials who first fueled bin Laden's rise to a hydra-like monster: Susan Rice, Sandy Berger, Richard Holbrooke — all softer on terrorism now than before, all devoid of new ideas on how to confront the mutating terrorist threat, and all genetically incapable of understanding why the terrorists hate us so much. A Kerry administration would serve bin Laden well because it would give him the much-needed time and reprieve to regroup and reconstitute his jihadists, who increasingly show signs of internal chaos and confusion.

It's nice to see Monsoor back and striking hard. Where has he been?

It is totally laughable when you see Kedwards' faces above a sign that says something like "A Fresh Start for America" when you know that they: 1) have no new ideas, 2) plan on using all xxx42 retreads (and not the more talented ones either, lol!), and 3) have to rely on the same tired old class and race warfare to shoot their dead horse across the finish line.

"There will be no change in the policy of the United States when it comes to defeating Islamist terrorism."

Actually, Mansoor, there will be a huge change if Kerry is elected. Here is a quote from the Bin Laden transcript: "If you were to avoid these reasons [for the al Qaeda attack], you will have taken the correct path that will lead America tot he security that it was in before September 11th." This is exactly where Kerry wants to take us, back to little terrorists jostles, like the Cole, for example, which can best be handled by law enforcement. That was the so-called "security" before September 11th.

I think you missed this part of the article. Doesn't sound like Kerry or the Dems would feel endorsed by Mansoor!

If Bin Laden was able, wouldn't he be doing something instead of just making threats?
Bin Laden has been greatly diminished and he is still trying to insert himself in our business.
Isn't that what he accuses us of?

Yeah, we were REAL secure on September 10 2001.

Gee, I wonder which U.S. presidential candidate Osama is supporting....

Whatever comes out of Binladen's mouth is Ka-ka al la' Kerry. Bin laden's flipping changes faster than Kerry's Flopping. First he was for Afghanistan freedom, then he was for opressing Afghanistan through the Talibums, then he was for removing the USA from Saudi, then he was suddenly for Palestininans, now he's apparently for the Democratic party.

He's the Pope of Islam, and all that he's really for is killing non muslims.
