CONFESS, FReepers!!
CONFESS your deepest, darkest, most shameful secrets here!
If we spend all day poring over polls and looking for any scrap of election info, we'll go nutz.
We've gotta have some fun. :) And we can't spend ALL day on the thread about German penis size.
CONFESS, I say!

I wonder if Dan Rather has any idea how many people he inspired and then disappointed? I wonder if he cares? The answer to both is a resounding NO.
In a way I am also part of the Reagan Generation, in that the very first vote I cast for President was for him. I never had any "journalism" professors and eventually dropped out and went to technical school school for broadcasting.
Like you, my ideal for reporters (and myself) was fair and accurate. I learned differently the hard way. A very politically powerful organization tried to get me fired from my job because of my "biased" coverage of an issue. Fortunately the General Manager of the radio station believed in unbiased news and proved that I wasn't biased in my coverage, and went on the air with an editorial stating so.
I got even with them, though........when I left news and became a lobbyist, one of my first clients was the group they opposed. The death threats I got, and the losses I took in the legislature notwithstanding.........every small win against them was the greatest thrill I ever had.

Sure thing!!!!!!! Come on over!
Had to make room in the freezer - that's the last of the venison from last season.
We know more people this year, and so I am presuming we are going to have far more venison this year, than last.
I'm going to pound on hubby to attend the required "class" to get a hunting license next year..........all he has to do is sit on the back deck and we could fill our freezer without problem.

Do know that being happily married father doesn't exclude one from membership in the RPR. In fact, some would say happily married parenthood makes the occasional reptilian activity mandatory. As long as I adhere to the "look but don't touch" rule, I'll probably be OK...

"Don't worry, you know me!"
"That's EXACTLY what I'm talkin' about!"

I would imagine alot of FReepers are related to the Bush family if their ancestors have been in the US since the 1700's.Mine have been here since around 1705; and two months ago I found out I am 1/8 American Indian. Still haven't found out which tribe.
