Sergeant Joseph Bozik, an Airborne Soldier with the 118th MP Company (Airborne) from Ft. Bragg, was recently wounded. He has lost both legs and an arm from a landmine, is not not conscious and has many medical complications. On Monday, Sergeant Bozik will be flown into Walter Reed from Landstuhl (Germany).
Unfortunately, the family doesn't have enough money to maintain themselves in a hotel (let alone buy food) for an extended period. The Army paid for airfare for 2 family members and Soldiers' Angels paid for airfare for 2 two more. The Angels can cover hotel expenses for only three days. Fisher House is full so they have to stay at a hotel.
We need your help. You can donate directly to a fund set up to assist the family with caring for Joe. You can send donations to the address or call the phone number below.

please add me to your ping list. Thanks!
What do you think? This email looks legitimate to me.
I agree..
Added.
The email is very likely legitimate. Earl Rudder was a major hero at Texas A&M - that's the address they gave. Bryan - College Station (well, specifically, College Station) is the home of Texas A&M where his fiance attends. I spent 6 years there getting three degrees - the Eagle is legit.
I'll call the bank tomorrow morning to confirm its legitimacy.

There's a Malogne House on the grounds of Walter Reed.
The motels/hotels nearby will give greatly discounted rates as well - if the family identifies themselves as staying there because they have a family member at Walter Reed.
As soon as anyone arrives at Walter Reed, they are assigned an overworkd Social Worker (thanks to Clinton's cutting back on them and their payscale) but perhaps his Social Worker can help the family find housing in the area, even people who open their homes to family members to stay in.
I believe there are also Churches nearby that will help with food. I'm trying to remember the name of the one that I contacted, to get help for family members from California. If/when I remember, I'll get back to y'all.
God bless out warrior heroes - and their families.
Yes, someone needs to call because there may be fraud involved.
I mean with the N.C. bank fund.... the other looks legit.
Thanks for the ping. They're in my prayers, and a small donation is on the way tomorrow. Wish I could do more, but every little bit helps.
Thanks for the link..just sent some $$ to help this brave hero and his family.
Fort Bragg is in North Carolina (Sergeant Joseph Bozik, an Airborne Soldier with the 118th MP Company (Airborne) from Ft. Bragg).
Fort Bragg is inland (near Fayetteville), while Hampstead is near the coast.
Yes, someone needs to call because there may be fraud involved.
This makes me so sick I could hurl..... I'm willing to help, but I wanna make SURE this is no scam, in which case, I am NOT willing to be a patsy. How awful is that?
Fisher House is full so they have to stay at a hotel.
Thanks for the info.......
All - I called the bank in Hampstead, NC today and spoke with Aiko Raynor. I'm convinced this is a legitimate fund. The reason it is set up in Hampstead is because this is where Sgt. Bozik's mother lives.
Please hit your ping lists to let them know this is legit and lets help this military family. Thanks all! -- E
