The irresponsible and highly overrated "journalist" just went on Sunday morning Canadian TV to fuel anti-American sentiment with wild charges and incredible speculation. He said, War crimes have been committed at the highest levels of the US goverment. The host asked him if there would be an investigation..he said it would be "pollyanna for anyone to think US would investigate itself.." then even more outrageously he predicted that France and Germany have had enough. He said if Bush is re-elect they will form a "formal alliance" against us. It is common here in Canada to pick up the most outlandish US critics and present it as fact about the depravity of Americans. Seymour Hersh gave them all they could handle in this respect
I watched Hirsch during an interview several months ago, he was spewing his anti-American, anti-Bush, anti-Iraq views and adding the insights of his "confidential sources" who are really well-placed and really well-informed. Or so he says.
Somewhere in the course of this discussion, I had an awakening sense that Hirsch was bald-face lying through his teeth. Don't know whether it was his smug demeanor or just the unbelievability of what he was saying, but it was as if he'd pasted an "I Am Lying" sign on his forehead.
The guy clearly has an ugly agenda.
Didn't France and Germany already do that? It's call the EU.
"He said if Bush is re-elect they will form a "formal alliance" against us."
Uh... I kinda thought they already had. Who cares?
Well, if it ever comes to CWII, a lot of "journalists" are on my "whack list".....
Nuf sed,

Cool! Maybe they can hold bake sales throughout the year to pay building rent. I'm sure there are enough American rock artists and actors to make a difference...
Seymour Hersh is an American (born 1937 in Chicago, graduated from the University of Chicago) investigative journalist who first gained worldwide recognition in 1969 for exposing the My Lai massacre and its cover-up during the Vietnam War, for which he received the Pulitzer Prize for international reporting.
Hirsh, who worked for Eugene McCarty's presidential campaign, has never regained the notariety and acclaim he garnered for the My Lai expose, but not for lack of trying.
His works are required reading for any who wish to hone their anti-American bias.
Here's more from an article in the Oct 28 Toronto Star

If Bush is re-elected, Hersh said, he will continue the war no matter the cost, no matter how many Americans or Iraqis are killed.
"Whether it's through karma or a crusade or divine intervention, whatever reason, for his father even, if re-elected he's going to continue the war," Hersh said.
"This man did not go to war for oil, for Israel. He went to war because he really believes that he can get democracy going in Iraq. It might take five years, 10 years, I've heard people say longer.
"His only option is to increase the bombing to keep the unpopular, unelectable (Iraqi) government in power. He's going to bomb and bomb and bomb and bomb."
If there is a second Bush term, Hersh believes European countries spurred by large and increasingly radical Muslim populations at home and the fact that they are 5,000 kilometres closer to Iraq than the United States is will band together to be more opposed to American policy than they already are.
"And I think you're going to see even the Germans say it's time to remove the United States as the sole interlocutor between Israel and the Palestinians," Hersh said.
And while he's betting on Kerry as "the only option," Hersh hopes the Democratic candidate won't try to win the war.
In recent stump speeches, Kerry has said he plans to win in Iraq by increasing the role of U.S. special forces and improving the Iraqi military and police, which Hersh dismisses as an impossibility.
"If you want to solve the war, you've got to talk to the insurgents, the Baathists and the Shiites," Hersh said.
Unless Kerry does this which Hersh admitted will be politically difficult in a Washington that has vowed not to negotiate with terrorists the insurgency will continue.
"There are 70 million Americans who don't believe in evolution. Bush is playing to that core," Hersh said. "And can you imagine what the rest of the world is going to think if we re-elect this man?"

I think it's fair to say that Seymour Hirsh is incapable of viewing American government in a favourable light... as he is a born again naysayer.
Bring it on wimps.
Bush should hold a press conference and ask all Americans to go out of their way to show respect for anyone in uniform, because we don't want a repeat of what happened 30+ years ago. Certain individuals accused our servicemen of war crimes, and troops returning from Vietnam were spat upon if they wore their uniforms. We have recently seen an increasing tendency on the part of some to belittle or malign our troops and all that they have accomplished. We should learn from history, and not repeat it.
Now, Seymour Hersh.
The left-wing loony bins of the MSM are filled to overflowing...
