John Kerry said Sunday that he's "outraged" that anyone would think the re-emergence of Osama bin Laden on a terror video released Friday may hurt his chances in next Tuesday's election.
"I'm outraged that he has appeared," Kerry told ABC News anchor Peter Jennings. "I'm outraged that he inserts himself in any kind of way into the electoral process of America."
Asked about comments from both his campaign and team Bush suggesting that the bin Laden tape gives the president a big boost in the closing days of the campaign, Kerry told Jennings, "I think it's unfortunate that anybody puts Osama bin Laden into any political context in the United States' election." When reminded that his surrogates were the first to address the bin Laden tape in a political context, Kerry said, "Well, I don't want them doing that. I think that's wrong. I think that every American is outraged at the sight of Osama bin Laden, and anything that he says about the American electoral process."
In fact, minutes after al Jazeera aired the terror tape, Kerry himself politicized the news, saying that bin Laden's continued survival was the result of Bush "outsourcing" the hunt for the terror chief in December 2001.
I'd give 100 to 1 odds against that happening!
Look closely at those eyes...That is Kerry!!!!!
Kerry: "Mommy, make 'em stop!"
Bwahahaha. What's Kerry gonna do about it? Get his team of lawyers and threaten Bin Laden about air time like he did the Swift Vets?
Absolutely! I heard an afternoon talk show caller last week who commented about that tape, that the only thing missing was the tag line, "I'm John Kerry and I approve of this message." And it struck me how right he was!
What a hypocrit for Kerry to complain about Ossama's remarks. Truth is, he's just embarrassed by the fact that he and Ossama are lined up together: people can't help but notice that, and that's bound to leave a bad taste in voters' mouths.
To late now, Senator. You had the opportunity to express outrage at the things bin Laden says months ago when Micheal Moore (and other surrogates or campaign advisers or former 'Rat Presidents or DNC chairmen) were saying them. But you passed.
haha! Funny AND true!
And who tells a terrorist that he's "outraged" because the terrorist made a statement? The response does not fit. Like telling a murderer you're outraged because the murderer was shoplifting while the police were looking for him.
Kerry easily could have won this election, stopped Bin Laden from imposing his opinions and made this an election about issues. All he had to do was NOT criticize the running of the war, NOT attacked GW from the michael MOORON perspective, and talk about how under his guidance we wouldn't repeat the mistakes of Vietnam. He would keep the politicians out of the day to day decision making in the war, and unleash the hell of our military genius. Heck, Bush could win in a landslide if he did one thing that Michael Savage suggested, go on national TV, say that there has been one too many Americans killed trying to pacify Fallujah. Leaflet the city, allow women and children out, then level the city. Shut down Al Jazeera, tell Kerry to shut his pie hole. Be decisively pro-active, just like in the early days of the war.
Perfect!Hey! That looks like Karl Rove! **snicker!**
That's what the DUers are sayin', hahaha!
"John Kerry said Sunday that he's "outraged" that anyone would think the re-emergence of Osama bin Laden on a terror video released Friday may hurt his chances in next Tuesday's election."
Why ? He said from the beginning he had the secret support of foreign leaders...
Why doesn't Kerry, as a U.S.Senator, go to the U.N. and ask them to hunt down Osama and bring him to justice?
Ha! That's funny! The dummies are so in awe of us that they attribute supernatural omnipresence to the Master Karl Rove!
The thing that has stunned me is that none of the democrats seem to have noticed that Bin Laden, the terrorists, was spouting democrat talking points.
Imagine the media hysteria, if Scott McClellan's words turned up in a bin Laden threat to America .
Kerry's spokesgal Stephanie Cutter said the exact same thing as bin Laden-only she said it back in August.
Imagine FDR's political opponent and Tojo saying the exact same thing, after Pearl Harbor.
This is just unbelievable. And the media pretends not to notice.
AP- August 20, 2004
" Kerry Spokeswoman:
Kerry will not read "My Pet Goat" while the nation is under attack " By DAVID ESPO
Kerry campaign spokesperson Stephanie Cutter sought to turn the argument over presidential readiness back on the White House.
"Mr. McClellan needs to understand that John Kerry is not the type of leader who will sit and read 'My Pet Goat' to a group of second graders while America is under attack," she said. "
Imagine the media hysteria if George Bush said on Friday, that 9/11 was " a raid."
That's what Kerry did and the media pretends not to notice.
Kerry on radio station WISN in Milwaukee on Friday:
"There's just America and we are all united in hunting down and
capturing or killing those who conducted THAT RAID and we always knew that that was Osama bin Laden."
That raid, that woman-same theme, different bum.
Thanks for the ping!
"And who tells a terrorist that he's "outraged" because the terrorist made a statement?"
Good point! I suppose it is actually good, for the war effort, that OBL came out from under his rock. We know he's alive now, which too bad that he is, but it's always good to know the truth. And he must have revealed his whereabouts to someone, in order to get the tape out. I don't think they just have mail boxes where ever he's hiding.
Guess he doesn't agree with Walter Cronkite who suggests Carl Rove orchestrated the whole thing. Cronkite's logic must be that UBL's tape hurts Kerry. This is a very good indication of uncertainty and possible discord among the Dems.
ROFL!!
This from the party of the Motor Voter Law. The party that wants every vote counted even illegals and convicted felons.
I figured they sent him an absentee ballot.
The only ones of those they don't won't to count is those of the U.S. military.
