Kerry's a cold fish, the people don't relate to him, and Bin Ladin's tape I think puts the final nail in the coffin.
People are reminded that Bush can walk the talk in the war on terror, while Kerry votes against the money needed for our troops...yet claims he has a better "plan."
In that last minute in the booth, the burning question is "Who can I really trust?" And many know deep in their hearts, there is only one answer.

What timeframe, central time zone, should it be clear who is going to win? 9pm?

I'd feel better about this if the article were coming from someone other than jumpy joe scarborough.

Well, I hope the armies of pajamahadeens are ready to hit the Sunday night October surprise with their quick research and get out the real info. You have to believe that they are going to try to do
something having had the 'weapons missing' pulled out from under them.
When you are conservative you have to watch not only the cheap tricks of the campaign, but the cheap shots of the media!

I just saw a clip from last night's Demo gathering with Alexandra Kerry and Algore... she was reading from her "speech," rather badly. It was an appearance at a Filipino concert, and the audience was primarily Filipino (which used to vote dem but is polling heavier Republican this election). She emphasized how much her father "knows and cares about their community." One really has to wonder if Kerry knows anything at all about the Filipino community in Hawaii other than he hopes they vote for him.

Just to be a contrarian for a moment...
You could argue that Bush spending so much time in Florida and Ohio the last weekend is indicative of his growing concern for either or both and he is making side trips to MI, WI, MN, IA to try to recover. What really does have me concerned, besides voter fraud, is that Bush thinks he is losing Ohio and is stuck on 266 EVS, which is why he made the trip to NH and sent Cheney to HI---in search of the 4 votes he needs to go over the top.

The networks will try to make the maps look good for Kerry as long as possible on Tuesday. I favor doing away with the media manipulation of predicting election results by going to a uniform nationwide poll closing time.

I dream of watching the results trickle in Tuesday night and seeing NJ and NH go for Bush.
Oh what a night it would be then.

By the way, I couldn't help notice how the crowds in Iowa were almost tepid in their response to Kerry's negative message....That's what happens when the crowds are only there cause they were paid.

This year, the Dems will complain about the media calling the election before the last Californian has a chance to vote, mark my words.

Your last statement is crucial .. FOX has been showing that number as 58 for Bush and 37 for Kerry - just on the WOT issue.

If Bush pulls of a "November Surprise" by taking Pennsylvania or New Jersey early in the evening, or simply runs ahead of his vote tallies of 2000 among the eastern states, the election will be "over" regardless of how long the networks take to proclaim Bush the winner.

The Dems in Hawaii are out advertising the Repubs 3 to 1. I've seen ads by Moveon.org, the DNC, AFSCME all pushing Kerry. Only the RNC has ads for Bush.
One of the Kerry girls is here, mouthing the usual Kerry lies. I don't understand how someone who appears so intelligent and sincere can push such nonsense on people.
