What timeframe, central time zone, should it be clear who is going to win? 9pm?

I'm still excited that 2 NJ and 1 NY paper endorsed President Bush. Living so close to ground zero, I don't see how they could vote for anyone but Bush!

If it's going to be an early night, 9-9:30PM CT should do it ... after how they got burned by VNS in 2002 and 2000, they're gonna want to wait for some Precincts to report before they feel comfortable calling some states. This being said, one can project how Bush is doing by about 6pm CT by watching the attitude of the pundits on the Democrat Networks. While I watch Fox News most of the time, I'll bounce back and forth to CNN and SeeBS every 10 or so minutes to see how they're acting. If they look depressed, or are making strange noises about fraud at the polls and about Dems filing law suits, I'll know Bush has won. If they're really happy, I'll start making plans for ammo purchases before inauguration day ... one never knows how available adequate ammo will be under a Kerry Administration (and, God knows, we'll need all we can get).

Polls in Ohio close at 6:30 p.m. CST. In Florida they close at 7 p.m. CST (in the panhandle!! -- in the rest of Florida they close at 6 p.m. CST). If both states get called for Bush, the election is over. If they are "too close to call", that's an indication that it will be a long night, and we'll have to wait for the upper midwest (MN, IA and WI) to chime in. If, God forbid, OH & FL both get called for Kerry, Bush can start packing his bags.
