The News Begins to turn

Posted on 10/30/2004 10:34:12 PM PDT by Vortexsg

I noticed tonight that MSNBC aired a program today on the bush's and kerry. Believe it or not they showed the bush's in a fair light and kerry in a more negative light. In reading posts here and website of newpapers like the New york times the negative kerry papers are beginning to come out. Most interesting of all the Saturday Night Live(A very liberal show) slammed kerry versus a little of "poking" fun agianst Bush. In there actions I wonder if they are showing what they are expecting to happen thanks to the great Bin Laden tape which to me almost seem like he was scripted and didn't want to say what he said. Perhaps because his network has been destroyed or if you believe liberal bs it was the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" to tape Bin laden doing that when he's been captured for some time. Like I said bs but would be funny. I think modays polls are going to be breakaway for bush as well as the stock market. I may be wrong but I don't think so. Yet we must remeber there are two full days to do some politican so god only knows if there are any suprises left. As for me I thikn the media is beginning to show what is coming. A BUSH VICTORY. .

Would love to have correct grammar but unforntunatly I went through middle school and high school during clinton year's....

Keep reading what our more erudite posters have to say and some good grammar will rub off on ye. Comma placement is important and something I'm not great at.

The MSM has nothing to fear from the second Bush administration. They do, however, have a great deal to fear from us. We need to mount a serious, nationwide boycott of the MSM. It's one thing to be biased; it's another thing to fabricate stories from whole cloth to attempt to influence an election. I'm not saying this because I'm "mad at them;" I'm saying this because they're manufacturing lies. After the election, let's blow them out.

Geez, I was listening to PACIFICA RADIO and they were playing this program that was interviewing some undecided voters and even they said that even though they didn't like Bush at'all, at'all, they felt like Kerry has uttered so many blatant falsehoods that even if he's telling the truth they don't feel they can trust him. Whereas Bush, even when he's doing something they hate, they know where he's coming from and know he's doing it out of his beliefs. The interviewer was like "But he's doing things you HATE!!!", the interviewee laughs, "yes it does seem ironic." This was Fresh Air, also carried on NPR stations, but I couldn't believe PACIFICA would play it at all much less without beeping out offensive statements (to them).

A new "network" is on the drawing board. Talk show radio host from Canton Ohio, Paul Schiffer part of effort.

do you think the midweek change was the fallout on the ammo dump story?

No.

1) I think the undecideds were available to Bush all along if Kerry didn't show some charisma and intelligent solutions. Kerry has done neither, so they're now moving the way Rove expected all along.

2) Bush's appeals to "discerning Democrats" may be subtely affecting the race. It hasn't gotten a lot of media play, but it's very compelling.

3) I believe there is a backlash against the partisan media. We saw it in 1994 and I think it's happening again.

In short, I think the voters are simply rejecting Kerry as a viable alternative. It doesn't have anything to do with one news item or the other. It's a character thing, so to speak.

Rush has repeatedly said Hillary will not allow a Kerry win.

This report indicates the power of the invisable hand controlling the levers of DNC destiny.

Getting a vote for Bush from a Kerry supporter is a twofer (B+, K-).

Twice as good as getting one from a new voter or an undecided.

Are these the same voters that were suppose to select DEAN as the DEM nominee??

Yes, but fortunately they can't be bussed from state to state fast enough to effectively swing the general election ;^)

"Would love to have correct grammar but unforntunatly I went through middle school and high school during clinton year's and as we all know he really didn't do shit for education so here I am with my bad grammar."

Perhaps your illiteracy is the fault of Clinton on public education; but, staying that way is yours.

Susan 'Lampshade on The Head' Estrich most likely meant 59% of registered voters would vote........ not that Kerry would get 59%. Hmmmmmm.

Ah, yeah, you're right. I misread it. Damn. I was hoping for more proof that Susan was losing her mind.

Good point. On Wednesday, after McAwful' head rolls, I mean retirement, the big talk will be how Dean would have done against the President.

Just so everyone can stop holding their breath waiting for it, I'll go ahead and add a post here stating that this should have been posted as a vanity.
