Geraldo just interviewed Col. David Hunt and allowed him to allege that the al-QaQaa explosives are now killing our servicemen!*&!
Perhaps this segment was pre-recorded, but then FOXNews needs to make an announcement and not broadcast the word "Live" in the corner.
Well, then, I go back to my intitial statement. People from Massachusetts shouldn't be allowed in the military.
did geraldo draw a map in the sand with our troop positions?
I had already posted that link.
that sums it up.
You may be on to something there.
Agreed. But Greta won't have Scott Peterson to talk about in a few days. Aren't you on the edge of your seat in anticipation of whom will be her next project?
LOL! Neither am I.
JMO, sounds kinda full of himself.
If the disc of the schools targeted by the terrorists found in Iraq had not been released he probably would have screamed "cover up, they are putting our children in danger".
Who gives a crap what he thinks. I am so sick of freaking out any time some idiot talking head on TV speaks about any damn thing. We beg and plead for crumbs of agreement or approval of our positions from morons on TV because we know how much power they have and how they abuse it. I am sick to death of it. It is DEMEANING to have to cringe as we wait and hope for some overpaid windbag to agree with us. When this election is over I am turning off the media so I can have some peace in my life.
NO he is not. Don't believe it for a minute. He only cares about how he LOOKS. Just listen to what he is really saying day in and day out. I have no respect for the "dude" Geraldo.
There are many honorable service men and women from Mass. Not a well thought-out statement.
You've got that right.
exactly! good post. armchair generals and their 20-20 hindsight aren't worth the crumbs from Rummy's crackers.
"Geraldo was actually defending the troops but Col Hunt clearly had an agenda."
I saw and heard it.....your characterization is accurate. Hunt flip-flopped, IMO.
Hunt is also the guy who made a big deal of his friendship with Col David Perkins, as Perkins seized saddams palace when the 3rd Div reached Baghdad......It was a lovefest, on live TV during combat, with both of them calling each other by their first names.
After President Bush wins on Tuesday, I will be turning off the tube for the next 3.5 years. If I want to consistantly hear something bad about the President I will log on to DU. Talk Radio rocks for me. Network TV news is nothing but anti-USA.
Does someone have Roger Ailes email address? One that will get to him and not some intern? We need to tell them this type of reporting from FOX is unacceptable.
Just sent Hunt an email expressing my displeasure. He'll probably ignore it, but thanks for the email address.
Ditto! Dittos!
col. hunt is a fine man of courage, but he puts his foot in his mouth far too often and lets himself be used by the pundits. very knowledgable, not very good at holding his ground with words.
Issue: One of the facts that emerged from this ammo discussion is that there are 10,000 ammo dumps in Iraq. We keep hearing there weren't enough troops sent in to guard them all. The Al QaQaa facility is one of them and it would take hundreds of soldiers to guard. It goes on for miles and miles.
Question: If it takes an average of 100 soldiers to guard an ammo dump round the clock, doesn't that mean we would have needed 100 X 10,000 troops? That's a million soldiers - clearly impossible.
IMHO, we're being bombarded with a pair of fallacies:
