This could well be the Dixie Chicks' last chance ever to go platinum. They sure as hell won't be doing it in the country western genre.
buh-bye Sony
buh-bye Sony
I was in the SonyStyle store at the Mall at Millenia in Orlando today and I noticed that, of the 20 or so DVDs that they sell in the store, Fahrenheit 9/11 is one of them. Very disappointing.
Still a cool store though. Anyone ever seen the $799 6.1 channel surround sound wireless headphone system? It's awesome. And being in that store doesn't make you feel quite so much like a metrosexual as the Apple store does.
I saw it in the local Circuit City last weekend.
My letter to Sony over Farenheit 911 DVD

Dear Sir,
I understand through the news media that Sony Corporation is negotiating with Michael Moore to distribute Fahrenheit 911 in DVD. I find this business transaction offensive to the values that have made this Country great. The 911 Commission has stated on National TV that they found no truth in Moores accusations concerning the Saudi relationship with President Bush. The movie fuels conspiracy theories, develops doubt and mistrust in our government, and in the end is nothing more than a poor and cheap excuse for political campaigning. Sonys decision to become involved in this project will strengthen the common perception that big business will do anything for money.
My relationship as a consumer of many Sony products and Sony Entertainment for over 30 years will come to an end if Sony Corporation decides to participate in this disgraceful marketing promotion.
Respectively,
Remember, folks, SONY is a foreign corporation in the United States...no matter how "American" their CEO is here.
Maybe Sony could see fit to selling a CD of songs inspired by the Pearl Harbor attack as well (seeing as it is a Japanese corporation).

LOL. Good one. And I'm not giving Sony the courtesy of a letter of reprimand or warning. I'm out - never to set foot in their stores, never to purchase their products. I don't care if it means going back to 8-track tapes.
Thanks, I'll do that. I'm giving up watching Jeporady, my favorite show because it is a Sony Entertainment product..well actually I'm also boycotting ABC, NBC and CBS.
Will they be sending a complimentary copy to Osama?
I'm already boycotting Sony. Maybe more should send letters to Sony as my earlier post shows. Volume always does the job.
Yes, thank you, I shall write to Sony Corp. However, things have gone so far I fear we need to "do" the grand gesture otherwise it will fall in deaf ears. We need to make news. I felt assaulted when I saw at Blockbuster a whole rack displaying Fahrenheit 9/11 (12x12 DVD's). I talked to the Manager and suggested 2 or 3 DVD boxes would suffice. Not a hope. I wrote to the Head Office. Not a hope. I asked for Farenhype 9/11. They have on display 1 box but no DVD available. In Northern Ca. I had to fight to get Unfit for Command and Stolen Honor. I see this as the equivalent of "book burning" that took place in the third Reich under Hitler.
The stockholders of the MSM and companies like Sony will be the ones to correct the current bias. When they begin to see drops in company performance they will demand correction. The more people boycott, the faster the change will happen. It's the way of Capitalism.
