I HEAR [KJL]
Zogby's latest will have Kerry up one nationwide, but Bush not doing bad in most battlegrounds, save for Florida (Florida where Bush internals are giving Bushies confidence).

I agree with your assessment in post 1, and I'm sick of polls. I can state with confidence that 99% of Americans are also disgusted with polls, and that 97% don't believe them.

Zog just plays the slots, and hopes he gets enough hits to get to the beach before the music stops. I know the feeling. I have been there.

and took a three-point lead in Pennsylvania, reversing a Bush lead of three points the previous day. This indicates bull, even with the DUI. No way there was a 6 point swing in one day ..... not without a picture of Bush in a dress and heels!

I don't trust Zogby even when I like his results.

Zog's final poll in 2000 had Gore +2

Yes, but I think it's NewsMax that says that Zogby was the only one right in 2000.

I actually experienced the making of Zogby's special sauce when I was polled last week. Here's how it works. For each question in the survey there are a set of valid answers. In my case, the interviewer did not offer to name the valid answers. Many of the questions I could answer excellent or good but some questions were less clear and I prompted the guy to tell me the choices. At one point I provided an answer and then, testing his interpretation of my answer, asked him which valid he chose, he got it WRONG.
So there you have it. Poll interviewers "interpret" answers and Zogby "interprets" the results.

Look, until the election, I take ALL poll seriously, because that's all we've got.
so these numbers are disappointing. not the end of the world, but disappointing nonetheless.

When did the DUI think hit?

Zogby gets credit for being right on for the 2000 presidential election. People forget that Fox News had the 2000 election tied as well. Right now Fox News has our great president up by five. As far as I'm concerned, Fox News' poll is just as accurate as Zogby, just without the fanfare.

Interesting. And somehow he is the king of the polling hill. In a way, his poll reflects my fears. I'll just hope for the best.
To: ambrose
He had a day or two of honesty then decided to do his best for Kerry again.

I did believe Zogby's polls but he has injected opinion far too much to be trusted so I'll stick to Gallup and a variety of secondary tier polls Same here. Having a pollster picking the winner months in advance is silly as it puts the poll in serious doubt. I have no idea why Zogby does it.
To: ambrose
I knew it was about time for him to start adding some more of his special sauce to the results. The demoralized left must have some hope or they won't go to the polls.

Bush will win in a landslide. Zogby knows it and so does the Kerry Campaign
