Watching CNN and MSNBC the commentators look depressed when talking about this Bib Laden tape. Chris Mathews looks like he wants to hide under the table when they say how this is bad for Kerry

So let's see, OBL says Arab leaders resemble the US more than they resemble OBL's apparent agenda. OBL is upset the Iraelis ousted the Communist revolutionaries in Lebanon. OBL is perfectly ok with Iran cutting natural gas and oil deals with Communist China. OBL has no problem with secret Russian oil deals (oil for food) and not to mention the presence of Russian advisors in Iraq (for years before Gulf War II). OBL credits M. Atta with masterminding the 9/11 strike against America. M. Atta traveled to Czechoslovakia between 1-3 times to meet with an Iraqi case officer (and under the watchful eye of the Czech BIS). Czechoslovakia used to be used by the Soviets to coordinate the terror network of the 1970s. The only person who happened to be in the right place at the right time to film BOTH planes slamming into the World Trade Center was a Czech national. Yes, I'd say there is more than meets the eye here.

Interesting situation; suppose we do find out that he is in France. Do we send in covert operatives to capture or kill him? Or do we just pull a Germany on them and accept their surrender in 12 hours or so?

Hi sinkspur! We haven't recently crossed paths in the road on the way to wherever. Of course bin Laden hates Bush. He hates Bush because Bush made him hide in holes for the last three years. That's not hard to figure out. He probably will hide in holes for the next 3 years also, living in fear while others blow themselves up.
I realized something in the last few hours I would like to put into words. Bush is correct that Islam has been recently hijacked by these wackos. If you look back 100 years or so, GREAT BIG WARS stifle them. This terrorism is a recent development. All those wars killed off a whole lot of Muslims in N Africa, Middle East, China, etc.
I won't draw a conclusion yet. What are your thoughts?

Hard to figure out the score card, but OBL is not a tactical hands on planner. He is more of a spiritual philosopher and guide. A Mullah of sorts with delusions of grandeur.

On what? bin Laden is a coward. If he wasn't, he would have figured out a way to attack America, in the last three years.

If he is a spiritual leader, then he should oppose Communist China more than he opposes the US. If he is a spiritual leader he should oppose the Russians more than the US (after all, they are bombing his co-religionists in Chechnya to smitherings). The US is full of Jews and Christians (people who the Koran gives special mention as "People of the Book")...not to mention the fact that we are home to millions of Muslims who practice their religion freely. None of this adds up. OBL is a terrorist. OBL is an enemy of the United States. But I think we have yet to discover his (and those who control him) real agenda.
About warning the 2 or 3 three countries that are harboring these people that they are in danger immediately if an attack happens to the US.
