Today, John Kerry departed from his prepared remarks in Orlando, Florida to unleash a cry that can be summed up in one word: Desperation.
"Wake up America, wake up. ... You have a choice," he said.
Telling America to 'wake up' is not a message for the future, it is the cry of a flailing candidate who has no momentum and is reaching the end of the line.

Wonder if this is Kerry's Dean moment like Dean had in Iowa? :)

ORLANDO, Fla. (Reuters) - Democratic challenger John Kerry urged Americans on Friday to "wake up" and choose a new start on the economy and Iraq instead of four more years of President Bush's "catastrophic mismanagement
>>>Sounds like a confident candidate.

Maybe we should send this to Zogby -- sure doesn't sound like a candidate that is winning to me.
Maybe America has woken up and remember 9-11 -- that would be bad for Kerry and great news for our side!

Kerry's been having Dean moments just about every day.
He's a nutcase and needs immediate psychiatric help.

He needs to wake up. Kerry thinks that America will elect him in a time of crisis when he has a proven record of voting against the military, diparaging our troops in action, and running to old Europe for permission. Putting him in office would be one of the most collosal mistakes in U.S. history. And I honestly believe that.

Senator Kerry, America is waking up. That's why so many of my liberal Democrat friends and family are holding their noses and voting for Dubya.

The choice is clear allright, between a leader and a backseat driver.

This is definitely the rhetoric of someone who thinks they will lose.
Bill Clinton certainly didnt do this in 1992.
Al Gore, or George Bush used this kind of rhetoric in 2000.

Dole did this right before he lost.

Neither Al Gore, NOR George Bush used this kind of rhetoric in 2000.

That term 'Wake up America'
is one of the most common terms stated at the D.U.mpster.
Every time the rest of the nation votes contrary to their wishs
or does anything the D.U.mpster crowd doesnt desire,
they scream that our nation is full of idiots who are asleep.

I agree with you on Zogby! He is in the Kerry category if you ask me -- flip flopping suits him too!

Sounds like his Bob Dole '96 "What are you thinking" moment, and we know what happened shortly after that.
