I want to see them get the beheader...I REALLY want to see that guy in American hands.

Guess hubby was right.
I think they are going to review the tape at the top of the hour, then translate it or whatever.
I can survive for a week on just Halloween candy alone, if they hit us now.

If it hadn't been for that article Bill Gertz did a couple of weeks ago about AQ needing to stage a successful attack, for a variety of reasons, I'd agree with you. But if AQ does try something, God help them and the Dems.
If the terrorists mean to cause casualties and get news coverage, Sunday would be a poor choice. If UBL is airing his tape today, the attack won't be today. That leaves Saturday, Monday, and election day. Saturday is also not a good choice unless they went after kids trick-or-treating, not likely.
Now Monday would be a work day, heavy commuter day, ultra maximum news coverage day the day before the election, everyone's tensions at the limit wondering what is gonna happen in so many ways...I'd bet on Monday, or possibly early on election day itself. It depends on what the nature of the attack might be.
If the object were to turn people away from Bush at the last moment, UBL might go for a spectacular attack on our troops in Iraq, causing many deaths. He would probably do that on Monday so the news could show the death pictures 24/7 and give Kerry time to dance in the blood.
If the object were just to disrupt the election and cause chaos, UBL might well strike at the polls on election morning so that millions of voters would be "disenfranchised" by not wanting to risk voting.

The Spanish Communist Zapatero had a surprise orchestrated via Iraq with AQ before their election as well...OBL likes to think he's the moon god-father...I say LIGHT'EM UP BOYS - SOONER THE BETTER!
They can try but someone has already said that no resources were not taken from Afgan. and used in Iraq - and President Bush and others have said we never stopped the hunt for him(OBL) - I think people understand that there are plenty of places in Afgan. and Pak., etc - where OBL can hide and get protection -
The Repub. should be ready to counter any attempt to make anything out of this video -
