In which case, he never would have qualified to be elected to Congress, right? Unless his record was purged and his discharge upgraded first. I think Carter and Clinton both had a hand in upgrading not once, but twice. And his records removed by one of his sticky finger friends. Just a guess.
If they've got a former Navy Secretary on the record, they won't need ads. The Kerry Campaign will have to attack, and the media will have to cover. It all depends on if they've got the goods.
Wonder if anyone's checked the Koolaid drinkers over at DU.

That's exactly it: the so-called "mainstream" media will ignore the heck out of this information. Just like they'll ignore the press conference today with the Major who blew up some stuff from Qa Qaa.
Despite the ability and talent present in the blogosphere, the undecided voters still get their direction from the so-called "mainstream" media. The pajamahadeen have to go around them as the Swift Vets did with their advertising buys. I hope that they can get this out ASAP so that the people have some time to percolate on this before the election.
There is one good thing: if the so-called "mainstream" media do talk about this, even in a negative manner, then the idea does get into the peoples' heads.

Clinton was a "nuissance" (to borrow Kerry's words) compared to Jean Francois al Quierrie. Sure he had a hammer and sickle tattoo at oxford and dodged the draft, and later as POTUS sold technology to the ChiComs, but that is nothing compared to what a demoralization of our troops that Kerry did during the Vietnam war, consulting with the enemy and giving aid and comfort to same... I dislike Clinton as much as the next guy, and he's a compulsive liar, we all know that, but the real threat, the real enemy to America as we know it, is Kerry. America survived 8 years of Bill Clinton, I think it could survive, albeit beaten down, 8 years of Hillary Rodham Clinton. But a traitor like John Kerry gets elected, America is finished...

I simply asked him to deny this flatly if incorrect.
I don't really know. Having been in the service during that time period (in Germany, not Viet Nam), most of us draftees were disgruntled to a certain extent.
But negotiating with the enemy crossed the line, IMO.
The first, simple judicial procedure would only need to declare him ineligible, disallowing his installation and inauguration, assuming he were elected. It would still be very appropriate to have done even if he weren't elected, for the good of the Republic and to set its record straight.
Secondary procedures, assigning blame and penalty would almost certainly let everyone other than the candidate himself, inasmuch as he's declared to Brokenjaw that his records have been kept private. But, if Kerry chose to get into finger pointing, we could really see the Dems go down the drain for the next century.
