Well... perhaps we should sometime.
I'm at Pahrumps right now, so that's why I mentioned it. Have wireless... will travel. :-)

I was over there yesterday - had to go to RedWest for something...and they were all fine. It was very irritating to see so many Kerry/Edwards signs, and not a single Bush/Cheney sign.
And no, I was not the one who shredded them. : )

do you think that some might be reminded that we haven't gotten OBL and its been 3 years???
Sure, they will be reminded that bin Laden is still at large. But I don't think it will help Kerry, because I think the great majority of the electorate believes that Kerry wouldn't have gotten him either -- and, moreover, that Bush has a greater chance of catching him in the long run.
I think the Bush campaign, through their operatives, will spin bin Laden and Assam the American as anti-Bush (and by default, pro-Kerry), which is an impression that will stick, because Kerry is generally perceived to be spineless when it comes to the war on terror. That's my gut feeling, and it is also supported by the polls I've seen.
I realize that Kerry has been pushing the angle that Bush "took his eye of the ball" by focusing on Iraq rather than bin Laden, but I don't think Kerry's argument has credibility with the majority of the public. Certaintly not any credibility with those who have been paying attention to his waffling positions on Iraq and the war on terror.

I keep saying all of the comparisons the Dems make comparing the Bush admin to the Sopranos really plays well in NJ...

The other day I saw a real big Bush sign in a yard and someone tore a big square out of it almost taking out the whole"Bush". The owner of the sign calmly made another sign out of white cardboard and a black magic marker that said "If elected, Kerry will do the same thing to our country that his supporters did to this sign."

I'm thinking about making a trip over to the GOP HQ to buy a Bush sign. Then I'm going to coat its edges in roofing tar and set it on corner over by the university tonight.

It took one of the largest Federal manhunts in the history of this country five (5) years to capture Eric Rudolph in NC.

A guy who lives out our way in California has had one of those big Bush signs (6x8 or so) torn down 3 times. He lives out on a countryish road so it takes an effort to go out there and get the sign. But every day he replaces it.
Now he is just using the small ones, but he is not giving up.

After talking a little bit he told that his son was a Marine in Iraq and that his son has convinced him to vote for Kerry.I always become suspect when people say they have "a son" in Iraq and, in this case, that he convinced him to support Kerry.
That is a standard ruse Dems use to try and give them credibility. I hear it all the time on talk radio, and most of the time, if the host is good, they ask specific questions and prove the caller to be bogus.
Who knows in this case, but nonetheless, I would have asked "What outfit. How long? Why does he support Kerry when 80 percent of his fellow soldiers support Bush?"
Just a thought.

Wow, interesting story....I'm sure there are more like this out there. Since you posted your story, I have one too: We have neighbors (senior citizens) down the street that have had 3 Kerry signs up in their yard until Friday. The guy next door asked them why their signs were gone after being there for a month or so....the couple said they TOOK them down because they don't like what they've been seeing of Kerry lately and they are either NOT going to vote or thinking of voting for Bush. My neighbor said the guy acted disgusted about Kerry and the election. I'm tellin' ya, it's gonna be a surprise result on Tuesday night. I can feel it here in the Detroit area.
